摘要： The water extraction machine according to the invention provides a quick connect system for mounting one end of a solution tube and vacuum hose to the water extraction machine housing and a simple and efficient means for conveying solution from the housing to a cleaning tool. One end of the vacuum hose and solution tube are received in a cuff member which is adapted to be received in the machine housing by a simple press fit interconnection. The cuff member provides a single connection for both the vacuum hose and the solution hose to the machine housing. The other end of the vacuum hose and solution tube are received in a clam shell grip tube handle which is in turn mounted to an extruded dual chamber wand. A first longitudinal chamber in the wand conveys vacuum through the wand and the second longitudinal channel conveys cleaning solution from the grip tube to the cleaning tool. The structure for the water extraction machine according to the invention results in a more efficient system for conveying cleaning solution and vacuum to and from the machine housing and cleaning tool. In addition, the system is adapted for quick assembly and disassembly by the user.

摘要： A vacuum cleaner convertible between a hand-held vacuum and a stick-type vacuum including a housing having a rondure first end and narrowing to a generally oblate, low profile nozzle at a second end, defining an opening in fluid communication with an interior of the housing. A releasably extensible dirt cup is slidably disposed within the opening in the second end and adapted to move between a retracted position within the housing and an extended position from said housing. The free end of the dirt cup is adapted to detachably retain a floor cleaning tool having a pivoting cleaning head for use on floors or other surfaces to be cleaned. The housing contains means for drawing high velocity air into the elongate dirt cup through the floor cleaning tool and/or free end of the elongate dirt cup so as to entrain dirt and debris and capture it within the dirt cup. The dirt cup is cleaned by withdrawing it from the end of the nozzle and removing the spun-bonded filter assembly before pouring the dirt cup contents into a separate container. The low profile housing, together with the extensible dirt cup and detachable floor cleaning tool, easily adapts to a variety of cleaning needs while simultaneously providing a lightweight and ergonomically balanced cleaning tool.

摘要： A multi-use vacuum capable of use as an upright vacuum or as a canister vacuum is disclosed. A detachable vacuum module is selectively mounted to the foot and support member of an upright vacuum. The vacuum module includes the vacuum motor, motor-driven fan, vacuum bag and hose. The vacuum may be operated as an upright vacuum or, alternatively, the module can be separated from the foot and support member and may be used independently of and at a great distance from the foot and support member for a wide variety of cleaning purposes.

摘要： An apparatus for forming a sinterable compact of a powder comprises a pair of respective shafts displaceable toward one another by the action of respective cams and serving to displace opposing ram members to compact a powder between them. Respective plates carrying the ram members are entrained with the shafts and are displaced in the opposite direction by respective pairs of pneumatic cylinders. The rams are thereupon displaced at high rate against the precompacted powder by energizing a disk-shaped coil which repels electrodynamically the plate carrying the rams.
