In some aspects, the system includes a plurality of forming modules movably mounted relative to an infeed mechanism. The infeed mechanism is configured to supply pre-form articles to the plurality of forming modules, and each of the plurality of forming modules includes a multi-segment mold disposed about an electromagnetic coil. The electromagnetic coil is configured to impart an electromagnetic force on the pre-form articles when supplied with electrical energy that urges the pre-form articles into contact with the multi-segment mold to produce the formed containers.

    摘要: The present invention provides a linear motor device that can reduce a variation in thrust caused by a variation in attractive force. The linear motor device includes a linear motor 1 and a control section 30 that controls the linear motor 1. The linear motor 1 includes a magnet member 2 composed of permanent magnets having respective N poles and S poles alternately arranged in an axial direction, and a coil member 3 which is located orthogonally to the axial direction with respect to the magnet member 2 and through which the magnet member 2 is movable in the axial direction relative to the coil member 3. The control section 30 controls current conducted through the coil member 3 so that a moving one of the magnet member 2 and the coil member 3 reciprocates within a use range L corresponding to a part of a pitch p between the magnetic poles N and S in the magnet member 2.

    摘要: The present invention provides a linear motor mounted press machine which uses a boosting mechanism to enable machining with a greater press tonnage using a press driving source with relatively low power and which, for machining with a smaller press tonnage, enables efficient high-speed machining. A linear motor mounted press machine includes a boosting mechanism 10 having an output portion that performs a rectilinear reciprocating operation, a first linear motor 11 coupled to an output portion of the boosting mechanism 10, a second linear motor 12 having an output shaft that drives a press tool 6 forward and backward, and a coupling switching mechanism 13. The coupling switching mechanism 13 releasably couples the output shaft of the second linear motor 12 to the output portion of the boosting mechanism 10. The boosting mechanism 10 is a toggle type link mechanism or the like. A servo motor and a crank mechanism or the like may be used in place of the first linear motor 11.

    摘要: An electromagnetically-driven punch press has an electromagnetic drive thrust motor comprising a fan-cooled solenoid winding and movable armature mounted in elevated location for isolating the magnetic circuit from the tooling to avoid tool magnetization and isolating winding heat from tooling for stabilizing tool dimensions. Stroke length, "open" height and "shut" height are conveniently adjustable; and tool performance is optimized by adjusting armature-thrust versus travel. Four-way access to tooling enables convenient material feeding and handling, including multi-direction or multi-layer feed. Scrap pieces are freely downwardly ejected. Multiple electromagnetic drives are mountable side-by-side at the same elevation, or they are stackable at multiple levels for increased power or for tailoring force-versus-distance relative to materials being worked. Materials-handling and/or tool-handling robots or pneumatic actuators can be installed on an elevated platform. The electromagnetic drive is removable and interchangeable among multiple die sets for easy tooling change-over among various production runs. Thus, "tooling set-up" by skilled machinist need be performed only once for each die set until worn dies require sharpening. A resilient upwardly biased shuttle pole-piece boosts available energy by extending upwardly into the winding opening. Ball-bearing bushings carry the movable tool and anti-skid supports prevent ball bearings and their cages from skidding downwardly when the moving tool impacts against the work material. Adjustable resilient cushioning arrests tool travel for minimizing "tool whip" and tool wear at the end of the work stroke.
