摘要: An HTML package of the Windows foundation classes framework allows Java developers to write Java code normally as if they were writing to any user interface framework. The WFC framework converts their coding into standard HTML for display on an Internet Explorer version 4.0 web browser, a selected browser or generic HTML if so indicated by the developer. The HTML generation process is replaceable with third party generators to specifically target selected browsers with differing capabilities. During code writing key value pairs are maintained in arrays and are used to generate styles and attributes, which are further used to generate HTML. Also, several states are used when the code is being written to manage modification and display of HTML directly on a browser. The states and movement between them are transparent to the programmer because the states are handled internally by the library.

摘要: A method and system for reducing and affixing two separated bone segments, the system having a bone plate with a pair of positioning slots, and a pair of elongated manipulating members with anchoring structures, the anchoring structures sized to pass through the positioning slots and for advancement into the bone segments. The bone plate is loosely mounted to the bone segments across the separation gap and a manipulating member is screwed into each bone segment through a positioning slot. The manipulating members are then used to reposition the bone segments by moving them together longitudinally within the slots. Fixation bone screws are inserted into the bone segments through screw receiving apertures to securely affix the bone plate to the repositioned bone segments. The manipulating members are then removed.

摘要: A cranial burr hole cover having a single, elongated internal bracing member, a locking external cover member joined by one or more connecting members, and a locking mechanism that precludes movement of the external cover member relative to the connecting members in the proximal direction once the cover is secured onto the skull. The internal bracing member is longer than it is wide. For a given burr hole, the cover will be chosen such that the longitudinal dimension is greater than the diameter of the burr hole and the width dimension is less than the diameter of the burr hole.

摘要: A system that facilitates masked data entry in an edit control is provided. More particularly, the invention can include a mask engine component that facilitates determination of a valid character from an input of one or more characters with respect to a defined format. In other words, the mask engine can compare an input character to a predefined acceptable format. An interface component that facilitates employment of the mask engine with disparate types of edit controls is also provided. The subject invention can isolate masking functionality as a service that can be interfaced into any desired edit control. For example, the masking service can be interfaced into controls including, but not limited to, a text box, a combo box, a rich edit, a list view and a cell in a data grid or the like.

摘要: A sternal closure clamp device for securing and retaining longitudinally divided halves of a sternum, and its method of use, the device having a pair of body members each having engagement members adapted to abut the sides of the sternal halves, and at least one rib extension member having rib retaining members and attached to at least one of said body members, such that the rib extension member can be secured to a rib to reduce the force being applied directly to the sternal halves.

摘要: A system and/or methodology to publish and share global objects in a visual designer is provided. A global object is an object that is available anywhere in the development project, rather than being local to a class or user interface element. Aspects of the invention are directed to a mechanism where global objects can be published, queried and/or used by individual visual designers. Additionally, aspects are directed to systems and/or methodologies where changes to those global objects can be made in such a way that they can be automatically updated in the designer. An alternate aspect of this mechanism can integrate with visual designers such that the designer itself does not need to be modified to accommodate the presence of a global object.

摘要: A “virtual type” that, to the reflection system, looks and acts like a fully compiled type—in reality, the “virtual type” does not exist and has been fabricated based on another API such as CodeDOM. Essentially, the “virtual type” allows code to be implemented using a single code path and therefore can remain ignorant that it is dealing with uncompiled source code. A “virtual type” is an object that looks just like a compiled type, provided that it is viewed through a reflection application program interface (API).

摘要: A method of affixing a cranial burr hole cover comprising an elongated internal bracing member, a locking external cover member joined by one or more connecting members, and a locking mechanism, whereby the interior bracing member is tilted and one end is inserted through the burr hole and under the skull. The internal bracing member is then moved laterally relative to the burr hole to allow the opposite end of the internal bracing member to clear the opposite edge of the burr hole. The internal bracing member is then centered beneath the burr hole. The external cover member is now moved distally toward the skull to cover the burr hole. The locking mechanism secures the cover in place on the skull and the connecting members extending from the cover member are cut flush with the cover member.
