    摘要: A mobile electronic device that can be used in at least two different orientations. The mobile electronic device comprises a processor, an orientation sensor, and at least two competing input devices. The processor is configured to enable and disable the competing input devices in accordance with the orientation of the mobile electronic device as detected by the orientation sensor. Alternatively, the processor is configured to assign different control functions to the competing input devices and possibly to interchange these control functions in response to a signal from the orientation sensor. The device may have a scrollbar that is an integral part of a keypad. The device may have a scrollbar that is wrapped around a corner of the device. The device may have two scrollbars that are arranged transversely to one another with the longitudinal extremity of the touch surface one of the scrollbars connecting to the touch surface of the other scrollbar.

    摘要: A system enables a user to communicate with another person via an external device, e.g. an audio, video, display interface. The external device includes a short-range transceiver, a memory, and an output interface. The mobile device includes two network transceivers, typically a cellular transceiver and a short-range transceiver, typically Bluetooth. In operation, the user prepares and stores a list of external devices with assigned IDs. The user further stores a list of phone numbers (phone book information) of contacts on the cellular network associated with the external devices for delivery of messages to the selected external device(s). The mobile device scans the network, and detects messages from associated contact source(s). The messages are stored by the ID. When the mobile device is within the coverage area of the external device, the mobile device transmits the message(s). The external device interprets the message for output to the intended recipient.

The memory is adapted to store a plurality of profiles, each profile defining a respective behavior pattern of the multi-medial user interface and being definable by a user of the mobile terminal. The controller is also adapted to provide a second control parameter representative of a contextual status of the mobile terminal. The controller is adapted to modify a behavior pattern of the multi-medial user interface depending on the first and second control parameters.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method for transferring data files between a sending device and a first receiving user equipment to be sent further to a second receiving user equipment. The method comprises receiving in the first receiving user equipment information comprising at least one data file transferred from the sending device using a first transfer method. Further, the method comprises creating, in the first receiving user equipment, a message comprising the at least one data file in a form suitable to be sent to the second receiving user equipment. The received information may comprise an instruction to create the message. In an embodiment, the message may be created automatically in response to receiving the information. In an embodiment, the data file may be modified into a form suitable for transferring.
