Abstract: A UE receives configuration from a source cell for conditional handover for target cell(s). At least one of the target cell(s) also supports DAPS handover. The UE determines that either a RLF or HOF has occurred. The UE selects one of the target cell(s) for a handover, and performs a process for handover to the selected target cell. A UE receives individual handover commands and corresponding configuration for conditional handover for target cell(s) and an indication to use DAPS handover if possible in response to a handover. The UE determined condition(s) for handover to one of the target cell(s) have triggered, wherein the one target cell supports DAPS handover. The UE performs, based on the indication to use DAPS handover if possible in response to a handover, handover by the user equipment to the one target cell without releasing the source cell while accessing the one target cell.

Abstract: Certain example embodiments provide systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for a handover of a coordinated multi-point connection. For example, certain embodiment may transfer a first coordinated multi-point connection (e.g., a further enhanced multiple input multiple output (FeMIMO) connection) to a second coordinated multi-point connection where the network may instruct the UE to not perform at least one random access procedure. The first coordinated multi-point connection may be controlled by a first cell (the serving cell) where the UE is ready to receive from and transmit to a first set of cells that comprises the serving cell and one or more non-serving cells. After handover, the second coordinated multi-point connection may be controlled by a previous non-serving cell, and the UE may be ready to receive from and transmit to a second set of cells that comprises the previous non-serving cell.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for CHO recovery in NTN are provided. One method may include a UE selecting at least one cell of a NTN, determining whether the selected cell is a CHO candidate cell and, when it is determined that the selected cell is a CHO candidate cell, evaluating one or more CHO conditions. The evaluating may include: determining if a timer measuring a duration of a time window within which the UE is allowed to execute the CHO is running or if a distance between the UE and the selected cell is below a configurable threshold, determining if an expiration of the timer or the distance is within a defined offset, and/or determining if the selected at least one cell is within a chain of CHOs list. When it is determined that the CHO condition(s) are met, attempting the CHO procedure to the selected cell.

In particular, a NTN device transmits information related to a set of NTN devices to a terminal a first device receives assistance information of a NTN device from a second device. The assistance information at least indicated a type of a cell switching. The first device skips buffer flushing and security key updating regardless of the type of cell switching. In this way, it can achieve cell switching without handover.
