The arrangement is such that a case is composed of a pair of opposing brackets having exhaust port ribs, defining a plurality of exhaust ports and intake port ribs disposed inner side of said exhaust ports and defining a plurality of intake ports, that exhaust port ribs of at least one of the brackets are tilted from 20° to 50° in the direction of rotation of the rotor with respect to the radial direction of the rotor and that the rib thickness of the exhaust port ribs in the normal plane of the tilt direction of the exhaust port ribs are equal to or less than 50% of the exhaust port width.

摘要： A rotor structure comprising a rotor coil for generating a magnetic flux, a pole core which covers the rotor coil and consists of a first pole core body and a second pole core body, each having a plurality of claw-like magnetic poles which are mated with each other, magnets provided on both sides of each of the claw-like magnetic pole for suppressing the leakage of a magnetic flux between adjacent claw-like magnetic poles, and reinforcements for holding the magnets in such a manner that the magnets are inclined so that the interval between the magnets becomes larger on the outer side than on the inner side. This rotor structure can reduce centrifugal force applied to the magnets.

The rotor, in the present invention for a vehicular a.c. generator includes a bobbin having a rotor coil for generating a magnetic field wound thereon and including fixing portions for supporting lead wires of the rotor coil; a pair of rotor cores for sandwiching the rotor coil and the bobbin therebetween; slip rings having terminals to be connected to the lead wires; grooves formed in the rotor core for housing the lead wires, the lead wires extending between the fixing portions and the terminals; and a rear fan provided so as to cover the grooves. The fixing portion, the terminal and the groove for each of the lead wires are provided so as to be substantially aligned, and the groove has an inward portion near an inner periphery of the rotor formed in a greater width than an outward portion near an outer periphery of the rotor.

A multi-phase stator winding of the alternator has: a plurality of joint portions where a distal end extending in an axial direction of a first conductor portion drawn out from a first layer in a slot and a distal end extending in an axial direction of a second conductor portion drawn out from a second layer in a slot located a predetermined number of slots apart in a circumferential direction are connected outside the slot on an end surface side of the stator core; and a coil end where the joint portions are disposed in a plurality of rows in the circumferential direction. The joint portions are set apart by half a slot from a diametrical line in a circumferential direction.
