Abstract: There is provided a method, computer program, and for an apparatus for causing an apparatus for a user equipment to perform: receiving, a first timing advance value for a target cell supported by a second access node, wherein the first timing advance value indicates a timing for transmitting uplink transmissions to the target cell; receiving, an indication of when the first timing advance value will be invalid; using the indication of when the first timing advance value will be invalid to determine that the first timing advance value is or will soon be invalid; and determining whether to autonomously initiate obtaining a second timing advance value for the target cell in dependence on the determination of whether the first timing advance value is or will soon be invalid, the second timing advance value being obtained later in time than the first timing advance value.

Abstract: A method includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE) connected to a first cell, an activation for a first transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state of a first configured TCI state pool associated with a second cell and further receiving a configuration of a second TCI state of a second TCI state pool associated with the second cell. The UE determines that the first activated TCI state and the second TCI state share one or more properties, and based upon the determining, activates the second TCI state of the second cell. The UE performs a cell switch to the second cell, maintaining the activated second TCI state of the second cell.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to lower layer triggered mobility. In an aspect, a terminal device receives a radio resource control signaling including a transmission configuration indicator from a first network device. The transmission configuration indicator state is configured for beam-only-switching. The terminal device performs beam-only switching based on the transmission configuration indicator state and a first switching command, then configuration switching based on the first switching command or a second switching command. As such, a solution for enhanced lower layer triggered mobility is provided, thereby reducing the interruption time.
