    摘要: More accurate search for similar cases can be carried out in the case where images by different imaging methods exist. An imaging information analysis unit obtains imaging information of search target images obtained by different imaging methods in the same examination from accompanying information of the images, and a similar case database storing similar case information sets each including examination ID, imaging information, a characteristic quantity, and image interpretation/diagnosis support information is searched in processing by a first similar case information search unit, a second similar case information search unit, and a judgment unit. A corresponding portion of the similar case information sets satisfying three conditions comprising agreement of the imaging information with the search target images, agreement of examination between the portion of the similar case information sets, and similarity of a content-based characteristic to the search target images is obtained.

A hilum-of-lung area in the lung-field area of the subject is detected from the tomographic images. Further, a slice image that passes through a first point that is a predetermined point in the detected shadow area, a second point that is a predetermined point in the detected hilum-of-lung area, and an arbitrary point that has been set in advance is generated. The generated slice image is displayed.

An image recognition unit recognizes a predetermined structure in an image representing a subject, then a recognition result judging unit measures the predetermined structure on the image recognized by the image recognition unit to obtain a predetermined anatomical measurement value of the predetermined structure, automatically judges whether or not the anatomical measurement value falls within a predetermined standard range, and, if it is outside of the range, judges the image recognition result to be incorrect.

An image processing apparatus is equipped with: an image obtaining section, for obtaining a plurality of medical images that represent transverse sections of a subject, which has been imaged in advance; a region classifying section, for classifying regions within each of the plurality of medical images as being one of a subject region that represents the interior of the surface of the subject's body, and a non subject region that represents the exterior of the surface of the subject's body; and a pseudo three dimensional medical image generating section, for generating a pseudo three dimensional medical image by executing an intensity projection method based on image information that represents the plurality of regions which are classified as being subject regions.

In the image processing apparatus, an aligning unit aligns a previous image and a current diagnosis image with each other, and a corresponding position calculating unit calculates a position on a subject in the current diagnosis image corresponding to the position of an abnormal shadow on the subject in the previous image based on positional information of the abnormal shadow on the subject in the previous image and alignment information. A current diagnosis image abnormal shadow detecting unit detects the abnormal shadow in the current diagnosis image from the vicinity of the corresponding position in the current diagnosis image.
