摘要: A catalyst unit includes: a ceramic catalyst body through which exhaust gas flows and having a substantially cuboid contour with a substantially rectangular inflow side and a substantially rectangular outflow side; a housing that at least partially encloses the catalyst body, and at least one bearing mat positioned in a gap formed between the catalyst body and the housing. Borders or edges of the catalyst body, which delimit the inflow side and the outflow side, each have dimensions of between 210 mm and 280 mm. The gap between the catalyst body and the housing, seen perpendicularly to the throughflow direction of the catalyst body, has a dimension determined according to the following relationship: s≤p*5, s being the dimension of the gap in mm and p the dimensionless amount of the density of the or each bearing mat expressed in kg/m2.

An exhaust purification device (1) includes a columnar honeycomb substrate (2), a belt-like mat (3) that includes a fibrous material and an inorganic binder and is wrapped around the honeycomb substrate (2), and a tubular casing (5) in which the honeycomb substrate (2) around which the mat (3) is wrapped is accommodated. The mat (3) includes an inner layer (31) in contact with the honeycomb substrate (2) and an outer layer (32) that is provided on the casing (5) side relative to the inner layer (31) and has a lower content of the inorganic binder than the inner layer (31).

摘要: An engine device is provided with a first case which removes particulate matters in exhaust gas of an engine, and a second case which removes nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas of the engine. The second case is connected to the first case via a urea mixing pipe. An exhaust gas inlet surface of the first case is joined to an exhaust gas outlet surface of the engine, and a support base firmly fixed to the engine is provided. The support base is partly brought into surface contact with the exhaust gas outlet surface of the engine.
