    Abstract: An image processing apparatus executes plural corrections for plural types of noises having mutually different characteristics included in image data generated by an image sensor including plural pixels, and including plural read-out circuits that read out the signal of each pixel as a pixel value. The apparatus includes a noise correction unit executable of the plural types of correction processes in an order determined based on the characteristic of each of the plural types of noises and a signal generating process from a light reception through an output of pixel values from the pixel. The noise correction unit classifies the plural types of correction processes into plural groups, on the basis of the characteristic of each of the plural types of noises, and executes the plural types of correction processes in an order determined in accordance with the plural groups and the signal generation process.

    Abstract: An image processing apparatus processes noise from a defective pixel in image data generated by an image sensor including plural pixels, and plural read-out circuits that read out the signal. The apparatus includes an acquisition unit that obtains the image data and position information of the defective pixel; a defective pixel correction unit that corrects the signal from the defective pixel included in the image data, based on the position information; a low saturation pixel correction unit that corrects a signal from a low saturation pixel included in the image data where the signal from the defective pixel has been corrected, the low saturation pixel having a saturation level lower than the other pixels, based on a preliminarily calculated saturation level of the plural pixels; and a saturation level calculation unit that calculates the saturation level of the defective pixel corrected by the defective pixel correction unit.

    Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a correction factor calculating unit configured to calculate a correction factor for correcting a difference in pixel values corresponding to a difference between a spectral sensitivity and a preset reference spectral sensitivity in a predetermined wavelength range at a pixel of interest, based on image data generated by an image sensor, the image sensor having a plurality of pixels on which color filters of a plurality of colors with different spectral transmittances are respectively disposed, the color filters forming a predetermined array pattern, the correction factor calculating unit being configured to calculate the correction factor for each of the plurality of pixels on which at least a predetermined color filter of the color filters is disposed.
