摘要: The present invention relates to a process for preparing a beta-phase metal phthalocyanine pigments in which(a) a crude metal phthalocyanine having an average particle size of about 10 to about 200 .mu.M is dry milled until the average particle size is reduced to about 0.01 to about 0.5 .mu.m;(b) the milled metal phthalocyanine is finished by thoroughly mixing said metal phthalocyanine with at least about 4 parts by weight, relative to the metal phthalocyanine, of a finishing solvent containing a mixture of(i) about 5 to 100 percent by weight, based on the total amount of finishing solvent, of a monocarboxylic acid monoester, dicarboxylic acid diester, diol diester, lactone, or cyclic carbonate, or a mixture thereof, and(ii) 0 to about 95 percent by weight, based on the total amount of finishing solvent, of water;(c) the ester used in step (b) is hydrolyzed; and(d) the beta-phase metal phthalocyanine pigment is collected.

摘要: This invention relates to a process for preparing pigment compositions by conditioning an organic pigment, at about 50 to about 200.degree. C., with(1) at least about 0.1% by weight, relative to the organic pigment, of one or more surfactants of formula (I) and/or formula (II) ##STR1## and/or ##STR2## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, X, Y, Z, and Z' are defined herein; and (2) about 1 to about 100 parts by weight, per part by weight of the organic pigment, of a liquid in which the organic pigment is substantially insoluble.

摘要: This invention relates to water-dispersible phthalocyanine pigment formulations that are mixtures of (a) about 60 to about 99.5% by weight, based on the total amount of components (a) and (b), of a conditioned metal phthalocyanine pigment, and(b) about 0.5 to about 40% by weight, based on the total amount of components (a) and (b), of a water-insoluble sulfonated phthalocyanine having the formula Pc(SO.sub.2 OR).sub.x (I) wherein Pc represents a phthalocyanine moiety; R is H or M, wherein M is a monovalent metal, divalent metal, trivalent metal, or ammonium cation, and x is a from about 0.2 to about 4.
