Abstract:
An obstruction light is disclosed herein. The obstruction light can include a reflector having a first parabolic portion and a second parabolic portion. The obstruction light can also include a light assembly having at least one array of light sources disposed adjacent to the reflector between the first parabolic portion and the second parabolic portion.
Abstract:
Lighting assemblies or lighting fixtures suitable for use in a hazardous location are provided. Generally, the lighting fixtures include a light source assembly, a heat sink, a driver housing or gear module, and a conductive sealing member between the light source assembly and the heat sink. The conductive sealing member has a thermal conductivity of at least about 6 Watts per meter-Kelvin, and/or a thermal impedance of less than about 0.21 degree-C. inch squared per Watt. The lighting fixtures have controlled directional heat transfer from the light source assembly to the exterior of the lighting fixture, while minimizing the heat transferred to the driver housing.
Abstract:
Support clips and systems thereof are provided. Support clips include a web, a lower flange, and an upper flange. The lower flange extends from the web orthogonally. The upper flange extends from the web, towards the lower flange, at an angle. The lower flange includes an aperture for receiving a fastener. Systems include support clips of the present invention coupling a ballast housing to a mounting module. The lower flange is secured to the housing, and the upper flange engages the mounting module, such that the housing is supported by the support clip against the mounting module when in a latched position. A user is able to secure a fastener through the support clip aperture and openings in the housing and mounting module without having to use additional hands.
Abstract:
Lighting fixtures and associated methods are provided herein. Generally, the lighting fixtures of the present invention include a lamp, a power coupler, a high-frequency generator, a mounting block adapted to receive heat from the high-frequency generator, and a device adapted to receive heat from the power coupler. In some embodiments, methods include consuming at least about 165+/−10% watts of power using a lighting fixture of the present invention, providing at least about 12,000 initial lumens using the lighting fixture, and providing the lamp with an average life of at least about 100,000 hours with a 50% failure rate. In some embodiments, methods include consuming at least about 165+/−10% watts of power using a lighting fixture of the present invention, and maintaining the temperature rise above ambient of at least a portion of the high-frequency generator at less than about 32 degrees C.
