摘要: This invention relates to a novel class of polymeric resins which have a softening point ranging from about 50° C. to about 220° C. and a molecular weight ranging from about 500 to about 42,000. The resins consist essentially of the polymers which result from the polymerization reaction between dicyclopentadiene and limonene. The polymeric resins are particularly useful in improving traction of the rubber when used in tire treads.

摘要: There is disclosed a method for adhering rubber to reinforcing materials which comprises embedding a textile fiber or metal reinforcing material in a vulcanizable rubber composition comprising rubber, a vulcanizing agent, reinforcement, a methylene donor, a methylene acceptor and a maleic anhydride functionalized triblock copolymer having polystyrene endblocks and poly-(ethylene/butylene) midblocks.
