Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network node, information configuring an active bandwidth part (BWP) that does not include a bandwidth associated with one or more of a synchronization signal block (SSB) or a control resource set zero (CS0). The UE may perform, based at least in part on a radio frequency (RF) retune mode, an RF retune to a union bandwidth that covers the active BWP and the bandwidth associated with one or more of the SSB or the CS0. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: A UE may enter a dormant state, e.g., for power savings. The systems, methods, and apparatus described herein may provide ways for the UE to transition between an active state and a dormant state, as well as UE behavior in a dormant state. The apparatus may be a UE configured to receive downlink control information (DCI) comprising an indication of a bandwidth part (BWP) switch for a secondary cell to a dormant BWP and transition the secondary cell from an active state to a dormant state based on the indication of the BWP switch of the secondary cell to a dormant BWP.

A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes determining one or more policies for monitoring one or more physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs) within one or more bandwidth parts (BWPs) for a first type of UE, wherein the one or more policies for the first type of UE are different from a set of policies for a second type of UE; and monitoring for signals from a network entity via the one or more PDCCHs according to the determined policies.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a starting symbol of a radio frequency (RF) retuning gap between a first plurality of repetitions of an uplink transmission in a first frequency hop and a second plurality of repetitions of the uplink transmission in a second frequency hop. The starting symbol of the RF retuning gap is based at least in part on a starting symbol of the second plurality of repetitions and a quantity of symbols included in the RF retuning gap. The UE may determine an ending symbol of the RF retuning gap based at least in part on the starting symbol of the second plurality of repetitions. The UE may perform RF retuning during the RF retuning gap. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Idle discontinuous reception (I-DRX) cycles at a user equipment (UE) may be extended via leveraging of paging assistance from a second UE. For example, a low complexity UE may have a connection to a network (e.g., via a link to a base station) as well as a connection to another UE (e.g., via a device-to-device link to a regular UE). In cases where such a low complexity UE receives paging messages from the network, a UE associated with a device-to-device link of the low complexity UE may monitor paging messages on behalf of the low complexity UE. As such, the low complexity UE may extend its I-DRX cycle, as the assisting UE monitors paging information for the low complexity UE. The assisting UE may forward paging information for the low complexity UE according to paging occasions of the extended I-DRX cycle of the low complexity UE.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication at a wireless device of a wireless wearable device. In one aspect, the wireless device may transmit a first report based on one of a location of the wireless wearable device, a time period, or reception of a user-controlled indication to transmit the first report. The wireless device may also receive, based on the transmitted first report, a configuration to switch from a first mode to a second mode. In some aspects, the configuration can include at least one parameter associated with a power savings at the wireless wearable device while in the second mode. Additionally, the wireless device can operate based on the at least one parameter while in the second mode.

Abstract: The disclosure relates in some aspects to an energy-aware architecture that supports a low power scheduling mode. For example, a media access control (MAC) architecture for a base station (e.g., an enhanced Node B) and associated access terminals (e.g., UEs) can take the power needs of the access terminals into account when scheduling the access terminals. In some aspects, an access terminal may support a particular frame structure for a low power mode. Accordingly, scheduling of the access terminal may include use of the particular frame structure during low power mode.
