    摘要: The present invention is directed to a laser communication receiver for wireless optical communication. A laser communication receiver includes a diffractive optical element to permit detectors at different spatial locations to detect different wavelengths of the optical signal. An immersion lens may be employed to focus the optical signal to a spot size smaller than the photoactive area of the detector. In one detector configuration, the optical signal is folded by a reflective surface and focused on a plurality of stacked detectors. The present invention further provides a method of manufacturing a detector and immersion lens assembly that provides a high degree of alignment between the lens and the corresponding detector.

    摘要: A container closure is attached to a container having an opening. The closure includes a tip moveable between an open and a closed position. The tip has an opening adapted to be in fluid communication with the container opening with the tip in the open position, wherein a flow path for contents of the container is defined between the container opening and the tip opening when the tip is in the open position. The tip further includes at least one horizontal seal in the flow path for sealing the closure when the tip is in the closed position and at least one vertical seal in the flow path for sealing the closure when the tip is in the closed position. The tip may be attached directly to the container and the motion of the tip from the closed to the open position may be stopped directly by the container.

    摘要: Terminals for electrically contacting wire loops disposed on each end of a cartridge type bulb are formed from resilient electrically conducting sheet metal. Each terminal consists of an elongated member having a relatively narrow contact portion joined to a wider base portion at a shoulder. The contact portion has a outwardly projection tab acting to retain the wire loop of a cartridge type bulb, while the base portion has a downwardly projecting tab for securing the terminal in a lamp housing or socket assembly. A means for electrically connecting a wire to end of the base of the terminal is provided by arcuate shaped projecting tabs which can be crimped over the wire core and insulating jacket.

    摘要: A heat transfer and conditioning unit includes a casing overlying a fire chamber. An exhaust conduit is disposed within said casing inwardly of its walls having an inlet to receive heated exhaust gases and an outlet adapted to communicate with a flue to atmosphere. The exhaust conduit includes a series of pairs of opposed parallel laterally elongated plates. Inwardly directed opposed V-formed plates interconnect adjacent plates to define a series of longitudinally spaced laterally elongated venturi passages along the length of said exhaust conduit. Said venturi passages effectively slow down the movement of the products of combustion through the exhaust conduit for increased quantities of heat transfer to the walls thereof. The walls of said exhaust conduit are spaced from the casing to define an independent fresh air heating chamber along the walls of said casing and exhaust conduit for the conductive transfer of heat to the forced fresh air passing therethrough.
