A method of providing a profile package by a profile server and the profile server includes generating a profile package, dividing the profile package in a unit installable in a UICC of an electronic device, reconfiguring the divided profile information in an encryptable unit, and transmitting the reconfigured profile information to the electronic device. Further, provided is an operating method and apparatus of an electronic device communicating with the profile server.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. Embodiments herein achieve a method for authenticating access in a mobile wireless network system. The method includes receiving by an Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) authenticator an EAP packet encapsulated from an access terminal over a high rate packet data radio link and a signaling interface through a radio access network. The EAP packet is encapsulated over at least one of a Non-Access Stratum (NAS) interface, a Radio Resource Control (RRC) interface and a N1 interface. The EAP authenticator is located at a secured node in a core network of the radio access network. Further, the method includes authenticating by the EAP authenticator at least one of a network access subscription and a service of the access terminal.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and a device for installing a profile of an embedded universal integrated circuit boards (eUICC) and, more particularly, to a method and a device for remotely installing mobile communication subscriber information (profile) substituting for a universal integrated circuit boards (UICC), on a security module. In an aspect, a network device, acquires at least one of or more profiles encrypted with a first password key and one or more first password keys encrypted with a second password key; and when profile installation for the eUICC starts, transmits to, at least one eUICC, the one or more encrypted profiles and the one or more encrypted first password keys, wherein, prior to the transmission, each first password key is re-encrypted with a third password key for installation by the corresponding one or more eUICCs.

Abstract: A method for downloading a profile of an electronic apparatus is provided. Further, the present disclosure may provide a method for swapping a profile between apparatuses, a method for acquiring profile information using code information, a method for modifying a profile providing server, and an apparatus performing the same.

Abstract: A terminal a wireless communication system is provided. The terminal includes a communication unit; and a controller configured to determine, by scanning a radio frequency (RF), at least one network to which the terminal is accessible; detect an input for selecting a network from among the determined at least one network; identify address information of a subscription server for a network provider corresponding to the selected network; and control the communication unit to transmit identification information associated with an embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC) of the terminal to the subscription server operated by the network provider, based on the address information; receive an acknowledgement message from the subscription server; transmit a message for requesting a profile associated with the network provider to a profile management server; and receive the requested profile from the profile management server.

One of the apparatuses being a terminal including an electronic card, a transceiver configured to transmit and receive a signal, and a controller configured to receive at least one profile from a profile management server, wherein each profile of the received at least one profile is to be installed in an electronic card of at least one device, to obtain at least one electronic card identifier of the at least one device, and to transmit, to the at least one device, the at least one profile corresponding to the obtained at least one electronic card identifier.
