摘要： Disclosed is a portable apparatus which adsorbs trace toxic fumes for a wide diversity of situations. The apparatus consists of a gas-tight enclosure, attached flexible duct and floating support arm, adsorbent filter, exhauster blower and quick disconnect fasteners. The blower sucks the toxic fumes through the filter and discharges the treated air back into the laboratory. The flexible duct/floating arm captures the toxic fumes in a wide range of conditions and the quick disconnect fasteners permit the rapid replacement of spent filters. It is the quick-disconnect fasteners between the cover of the box and between the filter and the cover which permit rapid replacement of the spent filters. This flexible apparatus minimizes interference with visual and hand operations, conserves room energy, removes particulate by both the change in direction designed in the apparatus and the non-woven fabrics used to support the adsorbent particle bed. One embodiment of the portable apparatus includes a table box having a foraminous surface onto which a specimen which emits fumes is placed, with the table box being in communication with the gas-tight enclosure so that fumes which are heavier-than-air are sucked into the table box and then into the gas-tight enclosure, while the placement of the flexible duct above the specimen conducts fumes which are lighter-than-air directly into the gas-tight enclosure.

摘要： For treating textile yarns by electrical discharge, the yarn is caused to travel along a path within at least one module. The module has a first and a second electrode confronting each other. A generator is connected to the electrodes to provide a voltage sufficient to strike an arc. The power of the generator and the impedance of the circuit are such that the arc is quenched after striking in a time which is short as compared to the time of rise to the arc striking voltage.

摘要： An overvoltage protection circuit, in particular for protection against lightning. It comprises, in an ionizable atmosphere, three electrodes in the form of plates secured to an insulating support. One of the said electrodes is a discharge ignition electrode penetrating into a discharge gap between the two other electrodes, which are discharge electrodes. One of the two latter is connected to the ignition electrode through an electrical resistor. The assembly of the electrodes is located inside a case filled by the said atmosphere and inside which the electrodes and resistor are secured to a plate of insulating material which constitutes the said insulating support.

摘要： The invention is a commercial or lottery instant game played with a ticket which bears a pre-printed number for the lottery game and no number for the commercial game. A random generated number is printed on the ticket for digit comparison with the pre-printed lottery number or digit sameness comparison of the printed random number on the commercial ticket. Sensing of the ticket stops a random number generator with a memory holding the random number developed on stopping. This number is printed on the ticket and displayed. In the absence of a ticket the device displays changing numbers as an attraction. The ticket may be validated by sensing and encoded with special information.
