摘要： In an IC socket in which contactors are disposed along the inner wall surface of an insulating housing chamber into which a leg portion of an insulating cover is inserted, each contactor has one end portion bent in the direction of insertion of the leg portion to form a folded-back portion and has lugs which project out from both marginal edges of the contactor near the bent portion. In the inner wall surface of the chamber there are formed engaging recesses corresponding to the contactors. Each contactor is fixedly disposed with its bent portion held in contact with the inner wall surface of the chamber and with the lugs engaged with the engaging recesses in the inner wall surface of the chamber.

摘要： A socket for an IC, which is made up of a cover having an insulating protrusion and an insulating housing having a recess for receiving the protrusion. The cover includes a flat member which has made therethrough a plurality of arrays of pin insertion holes for insertion of pins of the IC or the like, and the insulating protrusion provided on the underside of the cover and extending along the arrays of pin insertion holes, guide grooves communicating with the pin insertion holes, respectively, being formed in side wall surfaces of the insulating protrusion. Contact pieces are held on side walls of the insulating housing.

摘要： An IC socket for a flat IC package comprises a socket substrate, a cover member, a rotary lever, and a locking/unlocking mechanism so as to obtain stable, reliable contact and stable, easy release of contact between the conductors of the flat IC package and the contact pieces of the IC socket. The locking/unlocking mechanism makes use of sliding movement of the cover member on the socket substrate on the basis of the rotation of the rotary lever.
