Abstract: A mid-air image display device and an operation method thereof are provided. The mid-air image display device includes: a projection system configured to generate a light beam for an image; at least one positive lens; and a light multiplication module comprising a first transmission grating, a second transmission grating, a waveguide and a reflection grating, and configured to receive the light beam from the projection system and transmit the received light beam through the first transmission grating, the second transmission grating, the waveguide and the reflection grating, wherein the at least one positive lens is disposed on the light multiplication module, and configured to receive the light beam transmitted through the light multiplication module to form a mid-air image.

The optical lens includes a control electrode including a plurality of electrode elements, an electroactive material layer provided on the control electrode, and a common electrode spaced apart from the control electrode. The optical lens includes a plurality of bus sets, each bus set of the plurality of bus sets including a plurality of buses, wherein the plurality of bus sets include a first bus set and a second bus set, the first bus set is configured to apply a first voltage to the plurality of electrode elements to generate a first phase profile of light, and the second bus set is configured to apply a second voltage to the plurality of electrode elements to generate a second phase profile of light.

Abstract: Provided is an augmented reality (AR) device based on a waveguide with a holographic diffractive grating structure and an apparatus for recording the holographic diffractive grating structure. The apparatus includes a light source, a beam splitter, a first amplitude filter and a first triangular prism that are arranged on a path of a first light beam, and a second amplitude filter and a second triangular prism that are arranged on a path of a second light beam, in which a first part of the first light beam passes through the first triangular prism without attenuation, a second part of the first light beam passes through the first triangular prism after being attenuated, and the second light beam passes through the second triangular prism after being attenuated, and the holographic diffractive grating structure is recorded between the first triangular prism and the second triangular prism.
