    Abstract: A system and method for managing latency in a wireless network. In some embodiments, the method includes: receiving, by a non-Access Point Station (non-AP STA), a first inserted packet; and sending, by the non-AP STA, an Acknowledgement (ACK) for the first inserted packet, the first inserted packet beginning after the beginning of a first originally scheduled Aggregated Physical layer Protocol Data Unit (A-PPDU) and being substituted for a portion of the data of the first originally scheduled A-PPDU.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for providing feedback regarding a wireless communication channel is disclosed. A responding processor is configured to estimate condition of the wireless communication channel and generate a data field. The data field includes a communication parameter based on the estimated condition of the wireless communication channel. The data field is attached to a control frame, and the control frame is transmitted with the attached data field. A transmitting processor is configured to receive the control frame, and determine whether the control frame includes the data field. The transmitting processor retrieves the data field from the control frame, and selects, based on the communication parameter in the data field, a transmit parameter for transmitting data over the wireless communication channel.

    Abstract: A system and method for operating a link. In some embodiments, the method includes transmitting a first quantity of data, using a first number of spatial streams, and a first bandwidth, receiving N1 acknowledgment signals, N1 being a nonnegative integer; receiving N2 negative acknowledgment signals, N2 being a nonnegative integer; adjusting an estimated signal to interference and noise ratio for the first number of spatial streams and the first bandwidth, based on N1 and N2; estimating a first throughput for the first number of spatial streams and the first bandwidth; estimating a second throughput for a second number of spatial streams and a second bandwidth; determining whether the second throughput exceeds the first throughput; and in response to determining that the second throughput exceeds the first throughput, transmitting a second quantity of data, using the second number of spatial streams, and the second bandwidth.

    Abstract: A system and method for feedback for link adaptation. In some embodiments, the method includes: receiving, by a receiver, a first transmission from a transmitter; calculating a first estimated packet error rate, for a first modulation and coding scheme and a first number of spatial streams, the first modulation and coding scheme having a first modulation and coding scheme index; determining that the first estimated packet error rate is less than a threshold; and in response to determining that the first estimated packet error rate is less than the threshold, calculating a second estimated packet error rate, for a second modulation and coding scheme.
