Abstract: Disclosed herein are a system and method for providing 3-Dimensional (3D) images. The system includes: an image capturing apparatus that acquires an image of a subject; an accelerometer that measures acceleration; and a controller that synchronizes a series of images acquired by the image capturing apparatus with the respective locations of the images of the series. The location of each image is calculated based on acceleration with respect to the image. 3D image regions of the individual images are identified based on an image acquisition reference region. Locations of one or more 3D image regions are then adjusted. The 3D image regions (adjusted or otherwise) are then use to generate 3D images.
