Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Disclosed is a method for binding or unbinding a functional alias with at least one mission critical services (MCX) group in an MCX network, including creating or updating, by an MCX server, an association of a functional alias with the at least one MCX group when the SIP message request is received to create binding of the functional alias with at least one MCX group, or disassociating by the MCX server an association of the functional alias with the at least one MCX group when the SIP message request is received to remove the binding of the functional alias with the at least one MCX group, and sending, by the MCX server, an SIP message response to MCX client device confirming whether the creation or removal of binding of the functional alias with the at least one MCX group is successful or unsuccessful.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. Example embodiments initiate a Mission Critical data (MCData) communication using a pre-established session. A participating MCData server receives at least one pre-established session setup request from an originating MCData client device. The pre-established session setup request comprises the pre-established session indication advising the participating MCData server of initiation of at least one pre-established session. The participating MCData server initiates the at least one pre-established session with the originating MCData client device based on the pre-established session indication. The participating MCData server sends at least one MCData-communication-state message to the originating MCData client device.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to methods and system for handling immersive services with feature tags in an 3GPP IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) and 3GPP mission critical services (MCX). A user equipment uses the media tags, feature tags with unique IMS communication service identifier (ICSI) and IMS application reference identifier (IARI) to communicate with the IMS network for determining the immersive services in the communication. Accordingly, a method includes: performing, a registration with a network for handling immersive call services based on feature tags included in a session initiation protocol (SIP) REGISTER request; determining whether the network provides a provision for the handling of immersive call services based on an SIP REGISTER response; and sending an SIP INVITE request including feature tags to a second client device via the network based on determining that the network provides the provision of handling immersive media streams. Thus, the immersive call is established by the first client device with the second client device.

The proposed method and system provides radio resource utilization of the PC5 interface for the MC service, when multiple group members are under a relay node. Further, the proposed method and system can be used to reduce number of unicast transmissions between the MCData server and the MCData UEs by local routing at the relay node.

Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose formats for MCData messages and notifications, and methods for coding (encoding and decoding) MCData messages and notifications in a MCData communication system. The method includes generating, by a first UE, an encoded MCData message or notification comprising of signaling payload and data payload content related to one or more MCData user payloads. Further the method includes deriving, by a second UE, the actual MCData messages or notifications by decoding the received encoded MCData messages or notifications. The formats for MCData messages and MCData notifications optimize control headers and allow maximum user data size that can be carried in a single message over signalling, which aids in sending multiple user payloads in a single message.
