Abstract: Embodiments herein achieve systems and methods for managing communication in a Mission Critical data (MCData) communication system. The proposed method and system provides file distribution and data streaming in the MCData communication system. The proposed method and system provides a functional model and mechanisms to support mission critical data services. The functional model to support file distribution and data streaming, and associated procedures including one-to-one, one-to-many, and group data communications. Further, the proposed method and system provides mechanisms for optimizing radio resource utilization and backhaul link utilization in the MCData communication system. The proposed method and system provides radio resource utilization of the PC5 interface for the MC service, when multiple group members are under a relay node. Further, the proposed method and system can be used to reduce number of unicast transmissions between the MCData server and the MCData UEs by local routing at the relay node.

Embodiments herein disclose methods and systems for optimal network resource consumption by dynamically controlling media bursts, when a user is participating in simultaneous PoC sessions. Embodiments herein disclose methods and systems for optimal network resource consumption by enabling a user to selectively enable/disable multiple PoC sessions using MBCP “Activate” and “Deactivate” messages.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. Example embodiments initiate a Mission Critical data (MCData) communication using a pre-established session. A participating MCData server receives at least one pre-established session setup request from an originating MCData client device. The pre-established session setup request comprises the pre-established session indication advising the participating MCData server of initiation of at least one pre-established session. The participating MCData server initiates the at least one pre-established session with the originating MCData client device based on the pre-established session indication. The participating MCData server sends at least one MCData-communication-state message to the originating MCData client device.

Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose formats for MCData messages and notifications, and methods for coding (encoding and decoding) MCData messages and notifications in a MCData communication system. The method includes generating, by a first UE, an encoded MCData message or notification comprising of signaling payload and data payload content related to one or more MCData user payloads. Further the method includes deriving, by a second UE, the actual MCData messages or notifications by decoding the received encoded MCData messages or notifications. The formats for MCData messages and MCData notifications optimize control headers and allow maximum user data size that can be carried in a single message over signalling, which aids in sending multiple user payloads in a single message.
