Such capacity is obtained by selecting certain entries from the storage, by sending the entry information as opposed to the certain entries to a repository, and by deleting the certain entries from the storage. Also, methods and apparatus are provided to retrieve the entry information that has been sent to the repository when such entry information is needed. Further, methods and apparatus are provided to update as necessary the entry information that has been sent to the repository.

    摘要： A method and apparatus for routing calls for a subscriber based on the identification of the calling party or the originating line. Generally, the present invention operates to identify a calling party or originating line and then select a routing list based on this identification. Once a routing list has been selected, the call will be routed to the destination in the routing list. More specifically, when a call is received, an inquiry is made regarding the identity of the calling party or calling line. If the identification can be determined, then an attempt to retrieve a routing list associated with this identification is made. If a routing list has been provided for the identified party or line, the routing list will be retrieved. If a routing list has not been provided for the identified party or line, a default routing list will be selected for routing the call.

    摘要： An advanced intelligent network privacy screening service that allows callers provided with a bypass code to bypass the privacy screening. A termination attempt trigger is provisioned on the subscriber's line at a service switching point. When callers from private or unknown numbers call the subscriber, the call is routed to a service node that plays an announcement to the caller to start the privacy screening process. The caller can then enter the bypass code to bypass the privacy screening. A subscriber to the privacy screening service can change his or her bypass code by calling a system administration number, and entering his or her password and bypass code.
