Abstract: Provided is a circuit device including: a clock signal generation circuit generating a plurality of multi-phase clock signals; a time-to-digital conversion circuit performing a count operation based on an i-th clock signal that corresponds to a multi-phase clock signal, to obtain a count value that corresponds to a time difference between transition timings of a first signal and a second signal, to obtain a first digital value that corresponds to a time difference between transition timings of the first signal and a j-th clock signal that corresponds to a multi-phase clock signal, and to obtain a second digital value that corresponds to a time difference between transition timings of the second signal and a k-th clock signal that corresponds to a multi-phase clock signal; and a processing circuit obtaining a digital value that corresponds to the time difference based on the count value, the first digital value, and the second digital value.

Abstract: A circuit device includes a processing circuit and an oscillation signal generation circuit. The processing circuit performs Kalman filter processing for a result of phase comparison between an input signal based on an oscillation signal and a reference signal and performs loop filter processing for the result of phase comparison. The oscillation signal generation circuit generates the oscillation signal of an oscillation frequency set by frequency control data which is output data of the loop filter processing by using the frequency control data and a resonator. The processing circuit estimates a truth value for an observed value of the result of phase comparison by using the Kalman filter processing.

Abstract: A circuit device includes an oscillation circuit and a processing circuit. The oscillation circuit includes a variable capacitance circuit configured by a capacitor array and oscillates at an oscillation frequency corresponding to the capacitance value of the variable capacitance circuit. First temperature data and second temperature data subsequent to the first temperature data are input to the processing circuit as temperature data. In the period between the start of the capacitance control based on the first temperature data and the start of the capacitance control based on the second temperature data, the processing circuit switches the first capacitance control data corresponding to the first temperature data and the second capacitance control data different from the first capacitance control data in a time-division manner to be output to the variable capacitance circuit.

The time-counting circuit generates time-counting data based on the time-counting clock signal. An external signal is input to the terminal. The time-to-digital conversion circuit measures a time difference between a transition timing of a first signal based on the external signal and a transition timing of a second signal based on the oscillation clock signal or the time-counting clock signal with a resolution higher than a time-counting resolution of the time-counting circuit, and obtains time difference information corresponding to the time difference.
