    摘要: A light source unit including an arc tube having a light emitting section, sealed sections, an elliptic reflector, and a secondary reflecting mirror to cover the front side of the light emitting sections and reflect a luminous flux radiated from the light emitting section toward the elliptic reflector. The center of discharging emission from the arc tube is disposed at a first focal position of the elliptic reflector, and the secondary reflecting mirror is configured as a separate member from the arc tube, so that the outer peripheral portion of the secondary reflecting mirror is accommodated within a circular cone connecting a second focal position of the elliptic reflector and the distal end of the front sealed section of the arc tube when being mounted to the front sealed section of the arc tube.

    摘要: Aspects of the invention can provide a lamp device that is capable of avoiding concentration of stresses in a sub-mirror fixing portion of an arc tube. The lamp device can include an arc tube provided with a bulb portion encapsulating inside a pair of electrodes, and a pair of sealing portions formed continuously from the bulb portion and sealing inside electrode axes having the electrodes at tip ends and conductor foils to bring the electrode axes into conduction, a main reflection mirror, to which the sealing portion is fixed, to reflect lights emitted from the arc tube toward an illuminated region, and a sub-mirror fixed to the sealing portion in such a manner that a reflection surface opposes the main reflection mirror with the bulb portion in between. The sub-mirror can be bonded with a bonding agent to a surface region of the sealing portion present in a direction moving away from the bulb portion in reference to a position corresponding to a termination of the electrode axis.

    摘要: In a lamp device provided with an arc tube, a principal reflection mirror, and a sub-mirror; a decrease in illumination light, caused by a trigger line disposed to improve the turn-on characteristics of the arc tube, being suppressed. The lamp device include an arc tube having a bulb portion that incorporates electrodes and sealing portions; a principal reflection mirror; a sub-mirror; leads connected to an electrode at an end portion of each of the sealing portions; and a trigger line. The trigger line has a ring-like portion wound around the sealing portion. The trigger line extends from the ring-like portion and has a wiring path that passes a neighborhood of the bulb portion without coming into contact with the bulb portion, further extends along the sealing portion and is connected to the lead. The wiring path is in the same plane that extends through an optical axis.

    摘要: A light source device has: a light-emitting tube including a light-emitting portion that emits a light beam through electrodes and a pair of sealing portions provided on both sides of the light-emitting portion and lead wires for making electrical continuity between the electrodes and an external power source, the lead wires extending from the distal ends of the sealing portions, respectively; and a reflector having a concave reflecting surface that emits, from the opening thereof, the light beam irradiated by the light-emitting tube after aligning in a predetermined direction, in which the lead wire extends from the sealing portion on the light beam irradiation front side of the reflector up to the opening end portion of the reflector, the lead wire having bent portions in which the lead wire is sequentially bent along the shape of the opening edge portion. The lead wire is reliably fixed to the reflector by the spring force between the bent portions.

    摘要: A light source device includes a light-emitting tube and a reflector. The light-emitting tube has a light-emitting portion that generates a light beam by an electric discharge between electrodes, and sealing portions provided on both sides of the light-emitting portion. The light-emitting tube has a sub-reflection mirror that covers substantially a front half of the light-emitting portion. The reflector has a neck portion provided with an insertion hole to which the light-emitting tube is inserted, and a reflecting portion integrally formed with the neck portion and having an ellipsoidal curved reflecting surface that irradiates the light beam emitted by the light-emitting portion to align the light beam in a predetermined direction. The opening diameter of the insertion hole on the side of the reflecting surface is greater than the external diameter of the sub-reflection mirror and within the internal diameter of a valid reflection area of the reflector.
