摘要： A toner fillable cartridge for use with a toner developing device includes a toner body having first and second ends, a toner exhaust port between the first and second ends, a toner box shielding member rotatably mounted on the toner body to open and close the toner exhaust port as the toner body is rotated with respect to the development device and the toner box shielding member, and a pair of protrusions formed on each side of the toner box shielding member. Each of the pair of protrusions are structured to engage a developing device shielding member movably positioned over a toner introduction port of the developing device. Rotation of the toner body with respect to the development device causes each of the pair of protrusions to engage and displace the developing device shielding member to open and close the toner introduction port as the toner exhaust port rotates to align with the toner introduction port.

摘要： An image recording apparatus using a microcapsule sheet on which a latent image is formed. The microcapsule sheet is accommodated within a sheet roll cartridge detachably provided to a main frame, and a take up means for winding light-exposed microcapsule sheet thereover. The cartridge and the take-up means are geometrically positioned at an upper portion of the main frame, so that these are easily assembleable and disassembleable. Preferrably, a link mechanism is provided which connects a cover member to the cartridge. The link mechanism provides disengagement of the cartridge from the main frame upon opening of the cover member, and provides an engagement therebetween upon closing thereof. Further, additional link mechanism is provided between the cover member and a separation roller unit. The separation roller unit is moved to a first direction where the roller is separated from the microcapsule sheet when the cover member is opened. The unit is moved to a second direction where the roller is in contact with the microcapsule sheet when the cover member is closed.

摘要： A sheet supply unit for use in an image forming device. The sheet supply unit includes a sheet supply roller rotatable in a rotational direction. The sheet supply roller has a circumferential surface both made of a resilient member. The circumferential surface has a first contacting portion and a last contacting portion. The first contacting portion has a width which increases in the rotational direction, and the last contacting portion has a width which decreases in the rotational direction. This enables a sheet to smoothly come into contact with and separated from the circumferential surface. Therefore, the sheet is prevented from being damaged by a sharp increase of pressing force. Also, redundant supply of sheets can be prevented.

摘要： A toner level detecting device on a toner fillable box includes first and second toner detecting portions formed of a light transmissive material and a toner fillable aperture formed between the first and second toner detecting portions, wherein the toner fillable aperture has a non-uniform width. The toner fillable aperture is cleaned using a cleaning blade mounted to rotate within the toner fillable aperture to clean toner from the inside surfaces thereof, thereby providing more accurate toner level detection. The toner fillable aperture is a generally V-shaped or U-shaped member having smooth transitions such that toner does not collect or accumulate in corners where a cleaning blade cannot reach after possible being deformed during use. Furthermore, the material of at least a portion of the toner fillable aperture and/or the toner detecting portions is formed of a semi-transparent material that absorbs latent light that might otherwise cause inaccurate toner level measurement.
