Abstract: To eliminate influences of unnecessary reflected light other than a liquid surface in a liquid surface reflection type inclination sensor. In order to attain the object described above, an inclination sensor includes a liquid that forms a liquid surface, an illumination section, a barcode pattern to be illuminated by the illumination section, an optical system that projects the barcode pattern on the liquid surface, a light receiving element that detects the barcode pattern, a storage section that stores a detection image when the liquid surface is removed from an optical path of the optical system, and an arithmetic section that calculates an inclination angle by subtracting the detection image when the liquid surface is removed from a detection image when the liquid surface is present on the optical path of the optical system.

Abstract: The invention provides an angle detecting device, which comprises absolute encoders provided on a rotation member which rotates at a constant speed, a clock signal generating component, a counter circuit, an angle calculating component, and a trigger signal generating component, wherein an angle trigger signal is inputted to the absolute encoders and the counter circuit at a predetermined time interval, the absolute encoders input rotation angles for each angle trigger signal to the angle calculating component, the counter circuit outputs the number of clock counts to the angle calculating component from the moment when a rotation angle measuring trigger signal is inputted by inputting the rotation angle measuring trigger signal for detecting the rotation angle of the rotation member to the counter circuit, and wherein the angle calculating component detects the rotation angle of the rotation member based on the rotation angles from the absolute encoders and on the number of the clock counts.

Abstract: A rotary encoder includes: a rotary disk with an angle code; a light source; a detector reading the angle code; and a processing unit acquiring a reading value. The light source includes at least two light-emitting elements spaced from each other. Every time the rotary disk is rotated by a predetermined angle, where an arbitrary angle from a rotation angle θ within a reading range on the detector is provided as φ, the processing unit acquires reading values fI(θ+φ) and fI(θ) with a first light-emitting element and a reading value fII(θ+φ) with a second light-emitting element, to calculate a reading value error due to deflection at an angle θ+φ based on the difference between the reading values fII(θ+φ) and fI(θ+φ), to obtain a difference gI(θ,φ) between the reading values fI(θ+φ) and fI(θ) such that the error is reflected, and to self-calibrate based on a change in the difference gI(θ,φ).
