摘要： Systems, methods, and machine-readable media are disclosed for providing an audio preview of songs and other audio elements. In some embodiments, the electronic device can provide a user-controllable pointer scrollable through various categories, such as different genres or artists. Responsive to each movement of the pointer, the electronic device can select a song from the pointed-to category and can play a portion of the selected song. In other embodiments, music groups can be defined, where each music group includes songs that go well together. The electronic device can play, in succession, a portion of one song from each of the music groups. Responsive to a user selection of a playing portion, the electronic device can create a playlist based on the music group of the selected playing portion.

摘要： This is directed to an electronic device having an integrated sensor for detecting a user's cardiac activity and cardiac electrical signals. The electronic device can include a heart sensor having several leads for detecting a user's cardiac signals. The leads can be coupled to interior surfaces of the electronic device housing to hide the sensor from view, such that electrical signals generated by the user can be transmitted from the user's skin through the electronic device housing to the leads. In some embodiments, the leads can be coupled to pads placed on the exterior of the housing. The pads and housing can be finished to ensure that the pads are not visibly or haptically distinguishable on the device, thus improving the aesthetic qualities of the device. Using the detected signals, the electronic device can identify or authenticate the user and perform an operation based on the identity of the user. In some embodiments, the electronic device can determine the user's mood from the cardiac signals and provide data related to the user's mood.

In some embodiments, an electronic device may identify remote and/or local elements based on a seed element and may display a segmented graphical representation of the seed element (e.g., a tiled album cover). At least one of the segments may be associated with one or more of the identified elements. In response to receiving a user selection of a segment, the electronic device may perform any of a number of suitable actions based on the associated elements. For example, for remotely stored media elements, the electronic device can retrieve and play a preview of the media elements from a server.
