摘要: A smart phone case is provided having a built in pulse oximeter. The pulse oximeter may operate independently of the smartphone or along with the smartphone. The present disclosure allows users to have access to a pulse oximeter to measure blood oxygen concentration on the go in a convenient location without needing to keep track of a separate device. Studies continue to show the importance of blood oxygen concentration monitoring for tracking respiratory disease symptoms, lung function at altitude, and heart function, among others.

摘要: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for respiration-controlled virtual experiences. In an embodiment, a controller presents a virtual experience via a user interface that is perceptible to a user. The controller receives a respiration-data stream from a respiration device with which the user is operably engaged. The respiration-data stream includes one or more respiration-parameter values of one or more respiration parameters associated with ongoing respiration of the user. The controller updates the virtual experience based at least in part on the one or more respiration-parameter values in the respiration-data stream. The virtual experience includes a plurality of sequential phases that have an associated phase sequence. Among the sequential phases is an active-induction phase that corresponds in time to the user receiving anesthetic induction via the respiration device, as well as one or more phases that each precede the active-induction phase.

摘要: Embodiments are directed to an electronic device having integrated sensors for detecting a user's cardiac electrical signals. The device can include a heart sensor having several leads for detecting a user's cardiac signals. The leads can be coupled to interior surfaces of the device housing to hide the sensor from view, and electrical signals generated by the user can be transmitted from the user's skin through the electronic device housing to the leads. In some embodiments, leads can be coupled to the exterior of the housing. The device can be finished so that the pads are integrated with the device to improve aesthetic qualities of the device. The electronic device can use the cardiac signals to identify or authenticate the user and perform operations based on the identity of the user. In some embodiments, the electronic device can provide data related to the user's mood based on the cardiac signals.

摘要: A photoplethysmographic (PPG) device is disclosed. The PPG device can include one or more light emitters and one or more light sensors to generate the multiple light paths for measuring a PPG signal and perfusion indices of a user. The multiple light paths between each pair of light emitters and light detectors can include different separation distances to generate both an accurate PPG signal and a perfusion index value to accommodate a variety of users and usage conditions. In some examples, the multiple light paths can include the same separation distances for noise cancellation due to artifacts resulting from, for example, tilt and/or pull of the device, a user's hair, a user's skin pigmentation, and/or motion. The PPG device can further include one or more lenses and/or reflectors to increase the signal strength and/or and to obscure the optical components and associated wiring from being visible to a user's eye.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed that employ several or numerous factors in the determination of a glycemic urgency index (GUI), which may be based on a measured blood glucose level as well as other factors. The other factors may include time derivatives of the glucose level and/or other factors, e.g., user-entered data, data measured by other sensors or received from a network source, or historical data. The GUI is then presented to the user in an interesting way, e.g., via a background color or other inconspicuous notifier, e.g., on a mobile device such as a smart phone. The GUI may also be employed in the triggering of actionable alerts and alarms on an electronic device for the user. The GUI, or another index calculated from combinations of the variables and parameters described, may further be employed to drive a medicament delivery device such as a pump.
