摘要： A system includes a first acquisition unit adapted to acquire a first position/orientation of a first viewpoint of a first observer, a first manipulation unit used by the first observer to manipulate a virtual object, and a second manipulation unit used by a second observer to manipulate the virtual object. A generation unit generates an image of the virtual object viewed from the first viewpoint based on the first position/orientation, and generates an image of the second manipulation unit based on a relative position of the second manipulation unit from a second viewpoint position of the second observer, a second acquisition unit acquires an image of a physical space viewed from the first viewpoint, and a combining unit combines the images generated by the generation unit and the image acquired by the second acquisition unit. In addition, an output unit outputs the combined image to a first head mounted display worn by the first observer and a second head mounted display worn by the second observer, with the manipulation results by the first manipulation unit and the second manipulation unit being reflected in the image of the virtual object.

A storage device in the data base stores a plurality of images, additional information for identifying each of the plurality of images and calculated feature data for identifying each of the images. A first input device inputs additional-information data for identifying a desired image stored in the data base. An additional-information selection device selects a first set of candidates as the desired image by comparing the input additional-information with the stored additional-information for each of the stored plurality of images. A second input device inputs an illustrative image, which is illustrative of the desired image, and a generation device generates feature data from the input illustrative image. A selection device selects as the desired image a one of the candidates whose stored feature data is most similar to the generated feature data of the input illustrative image.

摘要： A control unit controls an image searching system which performs a high quality search for a desired image in an image database by using color information. A sample image determined by an operator is used as a key to the search, and is input to a sample image input unit. A sample color information extraction unit extracts HSV color space data from the sample image, and an image color information extraction unit extracts HSV color image data from a plurality of images stored in the image database. A contribution factors deciding unit decides a contribution factor for each component in the HSV color space, and a candidate image deciding unit calculates a similarity between the plurality of images stored in the database and the sample image. Image candidates are determined based on the calculated similarity, and the image candidates are displayed on a display unit. The desired image is then selected from the displayed image candidates.

A second stereo image is acquired based on a stereo video captured by a second stereo capturing section provided in the space where the first user exists and a virtual object image created based on the position and orientation of the second stereo capturing section. An image is selected from the first stereo image and the second stereo image according to an instruction of the further user. The selected image is presented to the further user.

摘要： Herein provided is a control system capable of efficiently and assuredly performing a remote-control of a plurality of instruments. When the plurality of instruments, which are connected to a network 600 and controllable by a computer, namely a first camera 300 and a second camera 400 as shown in FIG. 1, are remotely and simultaneously controlled, the present system is constituted so that a control right of the second camera 400 acquired by a certain client enables the client to control even the first camera while disenables other clients except for the client which acquires the control right to control both the first camera 300 and second camera 400. Accordingly, it turns unnecessary to individually acquire all of the control rights to control the related instruments, first camera 300 and the second camera 400.
