摘要: An electric power steering device for automotive vehicles which is capable of minimizing a driver's steering effort. The electric power steering device is designed to perform an automatic steering control. When a steering effort has fallen within a range of steering effort within which the driver is expected to have started to turn a steering wheel intentionally, the automatic steering control is initiated. When the steering effort has been shifted from that range, the automatic steering control is deactivated. This permits the driver's steering effort to be minimized as needed by the driver.

摘要: An on-vehicle motor control device includes a power switching circuit disposed on a circuit board to supply current from a battery to a motor, a microcomputer disposed on the same circuit board that controls the power switching circuit in a PWM control mode to minimize the difference between the current supplied to the motor and a preset current. The microcomputer decreases the preset current when the battery voltage is higher than an upper limit or when both the battery voltage and the voltage of the ignition key signal are higher than respective upper limits.

摘要: In a steering system having a variable gear transmission system and an electrical power steering system, respective compensation amounts for first and second electric motors are produced by a first mathematical model. The compensation amounts are added to command values (v1, v2) to generate final command signals (igref, ipref) to the respective electric motors. According to the above structure and operation, a mutual interference between two control systems can be suppressed.

摘要: An electric power steering device includes an output shaft connected to a steering mechanism of a steering system for power assisting the steering operation. The EPS includes a motor and a control circuit accommodated in a common motor housing. The motor housing comprises an end frame and a cup-shaped motor case hermetically covering the motor and the control circuit. The end frame is secured to a rack housing accommodating the steering mechanism, so that heat generated by the motor and the control circuit is transmitted to the rack housing.
