Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for bleaching teeth in which a solution of a nitrogen-doped titanium oxide powder is contacted on a surface of the teeth and the surface of the teeth is irradiated to bleach the surface of the teeth-by activating a photocatalytic reaction.
Abstract:
The image forming apparatus of the present invention includes a storage unit storing therein a database that contains a plurality of setting value strings of executed jobs. Here, each setting value string (i) indicates a setting condition used in a corresponding executed job, and (ii) includes setting values, each of which is associated with a different one of setting items and indicates a setting mode of the associated setting item. When a reception unit receives a setting value for a new job from a user, a search unit searches the database for a setting value string related to the received setting value. A display control unit displays the setting value string found by the search unit on a screen.
Abstract:
The object is to provide a network printing system in which printing may be executed using stable print modes regardless of the printer operating environment. When the printer receives a print job, if (i) any of the printing parameters in the print mode associated to the print job is registered as prohibited and (ii) the current time is within a designated time frame in which no one is expected to be near the printer, printing using prohibited printing parameters is not performed. The situation in which the printer is kept on suspended for a long period of time is prevented by changing such printing parameters to other available printing parameters, or by deleting the print job.
Abstract:
Photocatalytic coating compositions contain a photocatalytic material such as obtained by doping nitrogen atoms to an interstitial site of metal oxide crystals, a titanium compound having a specific structure, an organosilane hydrolysate having a specific structure, and an organosiloxane oligomer having a specific structure. The photocatalytic coating compositions can give coating films that exhibit adequate photocatalytic action even in an environment with less spectral components having wavelengths of 400 nm or below and more visible light, for example in an indoor environment and in vehicle interiors having UV protection glass, and that have high transparency. Further, the photocatalytic coating compositions have good storage stability of dispersions.
Abstract:
A digital image data and producing an image on a recording medium based on the image data is provided. The digital image outputting device detects the page-size of image data received. The image data is compressed and stored in an image memory. The stored image data is expanded within the image memory in a compressed state. The necessary capacity of the recording area is determined based on presumption of both the detected and the worst data-compressing rate. A recording area is reserved which matches the determined capacity. The image data compressed by the data compressor is stored in the reserved recording area.
Abstract:
When a request for compression or decompression of data for a next job is issued while processing of an current job is underway by one or more compression/decompression unit[s], the minimum processing time for the next-job data is compared with the processing wait period between pages of the current job. It is determined based on the results of this comparison whether or not compression or decompression of the next-job data is to be permitted. Based on this determination, control is carried out regarding whether or not compression or decompression of the next job by the compression/decompression unit[s] between pages of the current job is to be executed.
Abstract:
A Ti—O—N film is formed on an SiO2 substrate by sputtering. For example, TiO2 is used as a target and nitrogen gas is introduced into the atmosphere. Crystallization is carried out by a post-sputtering heat treatment. Then a charge separation material such as Pt is supported on the Ti—O—N film. With the fabricated TiO2 crystals, the Ti—O—N film containing nitrogen exhibits a good catalytic reaction by using visible light as acting light. Since the charge separation material captures electrons or positive holes, recombination of electrons and positive holes is effectively prevented, and consequently more efficient photocatalytic reaction is performed. It is preferable to form a photocatalyst material film (Ti—Cr—O—N film) by sputtering the SiO2 substrate by use of TiO2 and Cr as the target in a nitrogen atmosphere. Crystallization is performed by a post-sputtering heat treatment.
Abstract:
An image information processing apparatus which includes an image reading section which reads an image of a document and outputs image data, a document judging section which judges whether the read document is an original document or a reproduced document according to whether or not specific data is present in the image data, an inquiry section for visualizing inquiry data related to the original document into a visible image, and a control section which controls the inquiry section to visualize the inquiry data designated by the specific data into visible image when the read document is judged to be a reproduced document by the document judging section.
Abstract:
An image data processing device, wherein an input image memory for temporarily storing the digital image data representing pixels stores the image data serially supplied from an upstream device in order of input, and reading and compressing of a specified quantity of the image data already stored in the input image memory are performed in parallel with storing of new image data every time the specified quantity of image data is stored in the input image memory. A digital copying machine including an image memory for storing image data from an image reader, allowing setting of an input image memory area, and provided with an image holding memory area, and being operable such that, at the start of input of the image data into the input image memory, the input image memory area is set in accordance with a maximum size of the original, that the original size is detected from the stored image data, that an unnecessary storage image area is deleted, and necessary image area data is transferred to the image holding memory area, when the original size is detected.
