It is an object of the present invention to provide that printing plate materials of the present invention exhibit excellent printing durability, less “out of color” registration, and improved printing image quality. Disclosed is a printing plate material possessing an image formation layer on one surface of a polyester support and not less than two backing layers on the other surface, wherein at least one of the backing layers is an electrically conductive layer, at least one of the backing layer is a layer containing at least one resin selected from polyester resin, acryl resin, acryl modified polyester resin and cellulose ester resin provided on the electrically conductive layer, and at least one of the backing layers contains an organic matting agent.

A method for processing a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material by an automatic processor is disclosed. The processing method comprises the steps of (1) developing a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material with a developer being in a developing tank of said automatic processor while replenishing a developer replenisher in a rate of from 50 ml to 330 ml per square meter of the light-sensitive material processed and (2) fixing said developed silver halide photographic light-sensitive material with a fixer being in a fixing tank of said automatic processor while replenishing a fixer replenisher in a rate of from 50 ml to 330 ml per square meter of the light-sensitive material. The light-sensitive material comprises a support and at least one silver halide emulsion layer provided on a surface of a support which is a stretched film composed of a styrene copolymer having a syndiotactic structure or a composition containing said styrene copolymer.

A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material suitable for photomechanical process is disclosed. The light-sensitive material comprises a support and a silver halide emulsion layer and the emulsion layer or a layer adjacent to the emulsion layer contains a compound represented by formula 1, 2 or 3 and a compound represented by formula 4 or 5. ##STR1## The light-sensitive material give extreme high contrast images by processing usung a stable developer and is inhibited from producing pepper fog.

The black-and-white silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprises a support having thereon a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least two non-light-sensitive hydrophilic colloid layers provided on the surface of the silver halide emulsion layer farther from said support, in which the silver halide emulsion layer comprises silver halide grains each having a silver chloride content of 90 mole-% to 100 mole-% and containing a metal selected from the group consisting of transition metal of Group VIII of the periodic table and rhenium, a layer provided on the emulsion layer coated side of the support contains a hydrazine derivatives and a layer provided on the emulsion layer coated side of the support contains an amine compounds or an onium compounds as a nucleation accelerating agent, and the total dry thickness of layers provided on the surface farther from the support of the silver halide emulsion layer which is provided nearest to the support is 2.5 .mu.m to 8 .mu.m.
