摘要: A toner and a two-component developer for developing electrostatic images are disclosed. The toner comprises toner particles and the two-component developer comprises the toner and a carrier. The toner particle has a two-layer structure of a core layer and a surface layer, produced by suspension polymerization. The core layer and surface layer are mainly comprised of a resin having a low softening point and a resin having a high softening point, respectively. In the surface layer, a polyester resin having a specific acid value and a specific molecular weight is included to impart an appropriate water absorption to the toner. Due to the appropriate water absorption and superior fluidity, the toner can achieve a speedy rise of charge to give electrostatic charges in a stable quantity over a long period of time, and it can give a high image density and images with superior fine-line reproduction and highlight reproduction.

摘要: A height adjustment device is provided that has a first chassis having an adjustment hole, an adjustment screw that stands when threadedly engaged with the adjustment hole in the first chassis, a second chassis locked by the adjustment screw so as to have a preset separation distance from the first chassis, and biasing means for biasing the first chassis and the second chassis in the direction of attaining separation therebetween. The adjustment screw has a tip portion for forming a female thread in the adjustment hole when rotated and inserted into the adjustment hole, a threaded portion having a male thread threadedly engaged with the female thread formed by the tip portion, and a head portion for locking the second chassis against the direction of biasing by the biasing means, in a nearly linear state. The distance between the end of the head portion of the adjustment screw on the male thread side and the end of the tip portion on the male thread side is made larger than the sum of the length of the inside diameter portion of the adjustment hole in which the female thread is formed, the maximum value of the distance between the first chassis and the second chassis and the thickness of the second chassis.

摘要: An image-forming method is disclosed. A color toner image formed on an electrostatic latent image carrier is transferred onto one surface of a transfer material and fixed on the transfer material by a fixing means through heating and melting. An other color toner image formed on the electrostatic latent image carrier is transferred onto an other surface opposite to the color toner-fixed surface of the transfer material and fixed, thereby forming color images fixed on both surfaces of the transfer material. The color toner forming the color images contains toner particles directly obtained by suspension polymerization, and the toner particles contain wax.
