    摘要: The present invention relates to a signal processing apparatus and method, a program, and a data recording medium configured such that the playback level of an audio signal can be easily and effectively enhanced without requiring prior analysis.An analyzer 21 generates mapping control information in the form of the root mean square of samples in a given segment of a supplied audio signal. A mapping processor 22 takes a nonlinear function determined by the mapping control information taken as a mapping function, and conducts amplitude conversion on a supplied audio signal using the mapping function. In this way, by conducting amplitude conversion of an audio signal using a nonlinear function that changes according to the characteristics in respective segments of an audio signal, the playback level of an audio signal can be easily and effectively enhanced without requiring prior analysis. The present invention may be applied to portable playback apparatus.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a signal processing apparatus and a signal processing method, an encoder and an encoding method, a decoder and a decoding method, and a program capable of reproducing music signal having a better sound quality by expansion of frequency band.An encoder sets an interval including 16 frames as interval section to be processed, outputs high band encoded data for obtaining the high band component of an input signal and low band encoded data obtained by encoding the low band signal of the input signal for each section to be processed. In this case, for each frame, a coefficient used in estimation of the high band component is selected and the section to be processed is divided into continuous frame segments including continuous frames from which the coefficient with the same section to be processed is selected. In addition, high band encoded data is produced which includes data including information indicating a length of each continuous frame segment, information indicating the number of continuous frame segments included in the section to be processed and a coefficient index indicating the coefficient selected in each continuous frame segment. The present invention is applicable to the encoder.

In one exemplary embodiment, the system receives an encoded low-frequency range signal and encoded energy information used to frequency shift the encoded low-frequency range signal. The smoothed low-frequency range signal is frequency shifted to generate a high-frequency range signal. The low-frequency range signal and high-frequency range signal are then combined and outputted.

    摘要: The present technology relates to an encoding device and method, a decoding device and method, and a program that enable audio of a high audio quality to be obtained with a smaller code amount.The encoding device multiplexes low frequency encoding data obtained by encoding a low frequency component of an input signal and high frequency encoding data obtained by encoding data including an estimation coefficient to acquire a high frequency component of the input signal by estimation and outputs multiplexed data. When the input signal is encoded, a calculation unit calculates pseudo high frequency subband power to be an estimation value of power of the high frequency component from an estimation coefficient selected in a frame immediately before a frame of a processing target and the high frequency component of the input signal. In addition, a determination unit determines whether reuse of the estimation coefficient of the immediately previous frame is enabled in the frame of the processing target, on the basis of a comparison result of the calculated pseudo high frequency subband power and actual high frequency component power.
