摘要： In an information processing device connected to an external device via a network, the external device includes an application platform of an image forming device and the information processing device includes a platform emulator that emulates the application platform. The platform emulator includes an implementing information acquiring part that receives a list of information items of interfaces implemented on the application platform in the external device from the external device and stores the list of information items in a holding part, a determining part that determines, in response to an interface calling request from an application using the platform emulator, whether an interface is implemented in the external device based on the stored list of information items, and an external calling part that transmits, when the interface is implemented, a request of execution of the interface to the external device.

摘要： An information processing apparatus controls one or more processes of one or more devices belonging to a group based on data transmitted through a network from one or more devices belonging to the same group. The apparatus includes a memory and circuitry. The memory stores, on a group-by-group basis, policy data and a control flow. The circuitry makes the control flow effective, in a case in which at least one process to be executed when at least one condition is satisfied is permitted or is not prohibited to a user from whom a request for execution of the control flow is accepted, according the policy data. The circuitry controls the at least one process of the at least one device according to the control flow that is made effective, on a group-by-group basis.

The image forming apparatus includes a determining unit that, when the application starts in the image forming apparatus, checks first information indicating a function to be used by the application against second information indicating a function supported by the image forming apparatus so as to determine whether the function to be used by the application is executable, and changes operations of the application according to a determination result. The determining unit is automatically updated if the determining unit does not support a structure of the first information or a structure of the second information.
