    Abstract: Systems and methods for authentication code entry in touch-sensitive screen enabled devices are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method for entering data to a data entry device comprising at least one computer processor, a memory, and a touch-sensitive screen may include the touch-sensitive screen providing an input interface comprising a plurality of virtual keys; the touch-sensitive screen sensing a first touch on the touch-sensitive screen; the touch-sensitive screen sensing a release of the first touch and a location of the first touch at the time of release; the computer processor determining a corresponding virtual key based on the location of the first touch at the time of release; the computer processor receiving an entry gesture at an entry gesture interface; and the computer processor identifying the corresponding virtual key as a value in an authentication code following the receipt of the entry gesture.

    Abstract: Systems, methods and devices for detecting unauthorized devices at transaction devices are disclosed. A method for detecting an unauthorized device in a card slot of a transaction device may include inserting a card slot insert into a card slot for a transaction device, wherein the card slot insert has a width and thickness based on a manufactured width and thickness of the transaction device, and comprises a first indicator indicating that the card slot is secure and a second indicator indicating that the card slot is not secure. When the card slot insert is inserted to a manufactured depth of the card slot, the first indicator is visible outside the card slot, and the second indicator is not visible outside the card slot. When an object is in the card slot, the first indicator and at least a portion of the second indicator are visible outside the card slot.

    Abstract: A smart card connector including a housing defining a smart card receiving slot communicating with a smart card ingress slit formed in the housing, a plurality of smart card contacts mounted within the housing and being configured for reading contact with a smart card inserted into the slot and a movable smart card contact mounting assembly supporting at least one of the plurality of smart card contacts and for positioning the at least one of the plurality of smart card contacts in a first position, in the absence of a smart card in the slot, and in a second position, different from the first position, when a smart card is fully inserted in the slot, wherein when the at least one of the plurality of smart card contacts is in the first position it is relatively inaccessible to tampering via the smart card ingress slit.
