摘要： A card is provided, such as a credit card or security card, that may transmit information to a magnetic stripe reader via a magnetic emulator. The emulator may transmit the information in order to reduce the amount of circuitry needed to emulate a particular block of information. Additionally, for example, one or more buttons may be included on the card. Buttons may be includes, for example, to provide a control interface to navigate through various options of the card. Additionally, coding schemes may be selected via buttons. Furthermore, a card may be locked until a private number is entered into a card or a number may only be generated (e.g., displayed and/or emulated) once a particular private number is entered into a card.

In particular, the impact resistant material may comprise one of a polycarbonate copolymer or polycarbonate blended resin, a nylon-based copolymer, or a nylon-based polymer that includes long glass fiber or Kevlar fiber. The housing encloses the parking meter components to provide protection for the parking meter components against an external environment and vandalism attacks.

摘要： Certain exemplary embodiments relate to entertainment systems and, more particularly, to systems that incorporate digital downloading jukebox features and improved user interfaces. For instance, a smart search may be provided, e.g., where search results vary based on the popularity of songs within the venue, in dependence on songs being promoted, etc. As another example, a tile-based approach to organizing groupings of songs is provided. Groupings may involve self-populating collections of songs that combine centrally-promoted songs, songs in a given genre that are popular across an audiovisual distribution network, and songs that are locally popular and match up with the given genre (e.g., because of shared attributes such as same or similar genre, artist, etc.). Different tile visual presentations also are contemplated, as are different physical jukebox designs. In certain example embodiments, a sealed core unit with the “brains” of the jukebox is insertable into a docking station.

Additionally, transformation of inputs including older limited-capability POS software image inputs and/or newer limited-capability POS software image inputs, via components, into outputs including update directive outputs. Functionality set forth includes allowing user devices to directly communicate with payment gateways, capturing and making use of scanner-obtained data and printer-destined data in a way that does not require code alternation of already-installed POS software, and allowing software of limited-capability POS devices to be updated without sending large, full-overwrite software images.

摘要： A system for securely updating an electronic transaction card held by an account holder with an additional account and/or account data is described. A dynamic transaction card may be securely updated with an additional account by using pre-stored shell data and/or inactive data, whereby the pre-stored shell data may be populated using data received from an issuer system and/or the inactive data may be activated via an activation signal received from a mobile device. A backend server may determine, via a fraud determination, expiration determination, and/or user-request, that new account data should be transmitted to an account holder. The dynamic transaction card may receive the data associated with a notification, update a display, instruct an EMV applet to use a key associated with a received EMV key identifier for signatures, and/or update any additional data stored on the dynamic transaction card.

In some instances, the wireless device can also facilitate a purchase transaction, e.g., by obtaining information about products to be purchased, constructing a purchase order from the product information, and transmitting the purchase order to a point-of-sale terminal.

摘要： A method for authenticating electronic money includes storing in a portable apparatus a first biometric digital signature of a registered person who has been registered and authorized to use the portable apparatus, storing in the portable apparatus a public key infrastructure (PKI) certificate that includes a first code derived from encoding the first biometric digital signature of the registered person, acquiring biometric pattern of a person who attempts to access the portable apparatus, determining whether the biometric pattern of the person who attempts to access the portable apparatus is matched with the first biometric digital signature and the first code of the registered person, and in response to determining that the biometric pattern of the person who attempts to access the portable apparatus is matched with the first biometric digital signature and the first code of the registered person, transmitting authentication information to a remote server over a network.
