Abstract:
A tool for tying articles, in particular cable harnesses, by means of tapes. The latter are fed to the tool in the form of a magazine strip (21) which contains the tapes alongside one another. Feeding takes place in a predetermined direction through a tool insertion opening (16) that accepts the end (22) of the magazine strip (21). According to the invention, the magazine can be attached to the tool (7) by means of guide devices (23, 24) which, at least in their part which determines the last part of the attaching movement, are designed such that the outlet opening of the magazine approaches the insertion opening (16) of the tool (7) approximately in the predetermined direction.
Abstract:
An arrangement for tying an article, in particular a cable harness, comprises a tough elastic tape with a closure (12) arranged at the end of an elongated tape tongue and a tying tool. Arranged at the front of the tool body (1) are wrapping tongs (2, 3) that can be opened and closed and through which the tape can be guided around the article to be tied. Located in the tool body is a tape guide channel (10) opening inside the wrapping tongs and having an advancing member for advancing the tape with the tape tongue forward, the channel being adjoined in the wrapping tongs by a tape guide groove (20, 21). Arranged at the mouth of the tape guide channel (10) is a closure holder for holding the closure (12) and a spring rocker (15) for pressing the tape tongue being advanced on to a surface (11) of the tape guide channel (10). According to the invention, the spring rocker (15) has a front face (24) that participates in forming the closure holder (11, 18, 24).
Abstract:
Tool for binding an object, especially a cable harness, by means of a strip which consists of a strip tongue and a lock which is firmly connected thereto and has a strip opening for retaining and fixing the free end of the strip tongue and at least one laterally projecting region in the bound state. In order to guide the strip tongue around the object which is to be bound, the tool comprises a loop guide which has at least one moving part for opening and closing. Provided for holding the lock during the binding process is a lock holder which is at least partially formed by a part which catches in front of the laterally projecting region of the lock. In order that this does not impede extraction of the lock from the lock holder, it is removable. In order to avoid a special bearing, drive device and controller, according to the invention, this part is connected to the moving part of the loop guide.
Abstract:
Tool for binding an object by means of a strip which, consists of a strip tongue and a lock which is firmly connected to one end of the strip tongue and has a strip opening for retaining the other end of the strip tongue. The tool comprises a binding device and a retaining device and, for guiding the strip from the strip retaining device to the binding device, a guide channel with which an elongated, flexible slide interacts which is guided via a drive roller which is provided at the end of the guide channel remote from the binding device. According to the invention, the elongated, flexible slide, or a part of the same, is formed by a flat slide strip, consisting especially of metal, which is broader than the guide channel at least in parts of its length, guide grooves being provided in the side walls of the guide channel for receiving the edges of the slide strip.
Abstract:
A tool for tying articles, in particular cable harnesses, by means of tapes. The tool comprises a tape advance channel (12), which is bounded on one side by a tool body (2) and on the other side by a step feeder for feeding a magazine strip containing the tapes alongside one another. According to the invention, the step feeder and the tool body (2) are designed to be easily separable from each other. In particular, the step feeder can be folded down from the tool body (2).
Abstract:
Tool for tying an article, in particular a cable harness, by means of a tape (7), which tool comprises a tool body (1), a carriage (12) that can move forwards and backwards thereon along a carriage guide (13, 14), and a closed pulling means (15, 16, 17, 18), which can be driven in only one direction, for the carriage drive, the forward and backward runs (15, 16) of the said pulling means (15, 16, 17, 18) being parallel and adjacent to the carriage guide (13, 14), and having a driver dog (19) for the carriage (12). According to the invention, in the region of each of the two runs (15, 16) there is provided a coupling stop, on the carriage, each of which is assigned to a run and cooperates with the driver dog. Expediently, the coupling stops (22, 34, 35), on the carriage (12) and assigned to the two runs, are connected by a guide track (20, 21, 23) accommodating the driver dog (19) on its deflection path (17, 18) from one run (15, 16) to the other.
Abstract:
A tool for tensioning a band and for actuating a band fastening and/or for cutting off the band at the end of the tensioning operation has a pressure-medium operated tensioning drive, a pressure-medium operated actuating drive and a valve arrangement which, when a predetermined pressure is attained at the tensioning drive, liberates the supply of pressure medium to the actuating drive. An accurately reproducible band tension is achieved by virtue of the fact that the valve arrangement comprises a reducing valve, which is connected to the tensioning drive by a pressure-medium supply line and can be set to the reducing pressure corresponding to the desired band tension. The pressure-medium supply line contains a restrictor. The valve arrangement comprises a pressure-medium actuated reversing valve, which is connected to the actuating drive and which is pressurized, with the aim of liberating the pressure-medium supply to the actuating drive, by the pressure obtaining at the tensioning drive as well as by a spring. With the opposite aim, it is pressurized by the pressure present in front of the restrictor in the pressure-medium supply line.
Abstract:
Tool for binding an object by means of a strip, which has a strip tongue and a strip lock with a strip opening which receives the free end of the strip tongue. The tool comprises a lock holder and a loop guide, which originates from the lock holder, returns thereto and can be opened and closed, for guiding the strip around the object to be bound. Furthermore, the tool comprises a slide for feeding the strip into a position in which the strip tongue is located in the loop guide, and the lock is located in the lock holder. According to the invention, the lock holder is at least partially formed by the slide. In consequence, other holding parts having associated drive and control means are superfluous for fixed enclosure of the lock in the holder. The part of the lock holder which is arranged on the slide may have a guide for the free strip end which enters into the lock holder region from the loop guide. In consequence, it is possible to arrange the lock holder directly on the circular circumference which is available for retaining the object to be bound.
Abstract:
Tool for binding an object (19) by means of a strip which consists of a strip tongue (7) and a lock which is connected to one end of the strip tongue and has a strip opening for retaining the other end of the strip tongue. The tool, which is of elongated construction, has a loop guide (15, 16), which can be opened and closed, on the end of the tool for guiding the strip around the object (19). Provided within the loop guide on the end of the tool is a lock holder (34, 35) from which the loop guide (15, 16) originates and to which it returns. Provided in the tool body is a guide channel (5), which runs approximately parallel to its longitudinal direction, for guiding the strip in its longitudinal direction from an original position into the looping-round and binding position. According to the invention, it is provided that the lock holder (34, 35) is arranged on the end surface of the tool on the circumference of the largest circular cross-section which can be retained by the loop guide ( 15, 16). The angle between the direction of the end of the strip tongue connected to the lock and the direction of the strip opening on the side facing the loop guide is between 135.degree. and 180 .degree. . In its end section running to the lock holder, the guide channel (5) contains a guide device for the strip tongue (7), which device is formed by a straight or concavely curved guide surface (3) and a guide element (41) which presses the strip tongue (7) against the guide surface (3).
Abstract:
An appliance for clamping a strap round an article has a tensioning member, it being necessary for the tension which is to be transmitted to the strap by the tensioning member to be limited to a predetermined value. This is achieved by the fact that the tensioning member (4) is designed to slip past on the strap (2,6) to be tensioned when the predetermined strap tension is reached. The tensioning member can be provided with projections penetrating into the strap surface, which projections are designed so as to remove chips or displace material during the slipping past. Advantageously the tensioning member comprises a tensioning roller.
