Abstract:
The invention relates to a tool for binding an object, in particular a cable harness, by means of a band, having a tool body (1) and a clamp (2) which is at least partially formed by clamp parts (3, 3′), mounted in a movable manner on the tool body (1), and is provided with a band guide, it being possible for the clamp parts (3, 3′) to be closed such that, in a closed state of the clamp (2), a free space (6) is produced between their free ends, it being the case that arranged at the free end of at least one of the clamp parts (3, 3′) is a slide (5, 5′) which can be moved between a position in which it releases the free space (6) and a closing position and, at least in its closing position, forms part of the band guide. The invention also covers an arrangement having the abovementioned tool and a band for binding an object.
Abstract:
Tying arrangement comprising a strip, which is serrated at least on one side, and a lock, which is intended for receiving two ends of a portion of the strip and contains at least one blocking device, which is serrated in such a way as to match the serration of the strip. In order to preserve the tips of the teeth, the teeth tips of the teeth provided on the blocking device and the teeth bases of the strip are rounded off or beveled at least on their sides lying against one another in the tightened state. Such an arrangement is used in tying methods in which the free strip end is led back into the lock after wrapping around the item to be tied.
Abstract:
A cable binding tool for binding a belt around an object employs a novel arrangement of support rollers on an adjustably spring loaded abutment to urge the belt against a toothed tightening wheel. The tightening wheel is continuously driven during the tightening operation, continuing to rotate with respect to the belt even after the desired belt tension has been achieved. The arrangement of support rollers takes advantage of the stiffness of the belt to equalize the force acting per unit length between the belt and the tightening roller over that portion of the circumference of the tightening roller in contact with the belt.
Abstract:
A cable harness laying device for fastening on a laying shelf to position a cable harness. The cable harness laying device comprises at least two columns fastened to the laying shelf and extending from the laying shelf, a bridge spaced from the laying shelf and extending between the columns, a generally elongated holding finger disposed on each of the columns and extending away from the laying shelf beyond the bridge, the holding fingers each being movable relative to their respective column in the direction of their elongation, a generally U-shaped channel defined by the holding fingers and the bridge, wherein the channel houses the cable harness, and a spring connection for each of the holding fingers biasing the holding fingers away from the bridge to a use position, the holding fingers being movable relative to their respective column away from the use against the bias of the spring connection.
Abstract:
An arrangement for ordering and binding an elongated object, in particular a cable tree (4), comprises an ordering device (1) for example a laying board with supports for a cable tree, which determines the position of the object. It also comprises a binding device which binds the object with a tape (16). To this end, the binding device has a wrapping guide (2, 3) which wraps the tape around the object (4) and a sealing device (5) with a device (17) for joining the ends of the tape. The sealing device (5) can be moved relative to the ordering device (1) so that it can be placed at the various binding sites (18) in the object (4). According to the invention, at least part of the wrapping guide (2, 3, 20, 30) is arranged on the ordering device (1), i.e., at each of the binding sites (18). The sealing device (5) is therefore not attached to the binding device until it is placed on one of the wrapping guides (2, 3, 20, 30). To this end, the sealing device (5) and the wrapping guide (2, 3, 20, 30) are fitted with co-operating positioning devices (9, 11, 21, 28).
Abstract:
A magazine strip of tie ratchets which are provided for holding the ends of ties for binding elongated articles such as cable harnesses and are connected to one another by webs, the width of which is not greater than half the ratchet width and which are arranged adjacent to the tie entry side of the ratchets. The webs have a length of not more than 1.3 mm and/or one sixth of the ratchet dimension in the direction of the magazine strip. The width of the essentially parallel wall sections which carry the webs is expediently not greater than three quarters of the entire width of the ratchets. The thickness/width ratio of the webs should be not greater than 1/5. The invention also relates to a tool for binding cable harnesses which ensures that the webs are cut exactly in the center.
Abstract:
Tool for binding a band (4) around an object, having a lock mount (2) for a lock which secures the band ends, a band-tensioning device (5, 6) and, if appropriate, a band-tensioning-measuring device (10). Provided between the lock mount (2) and the band-tensioning device (5, 6) is a band-tensioning-measuring device (14) which deflects the band (4) laterally and establishes the relationship between the deflection and the force necessary for this purpose.
Abstract:
Tool for fastening an article, in particular a cable harness, by means of a band to be closed by a lock (10), which has, at a front surface of its tool body (1), a wraparound clamp (4) formed at least partially of clamp parts (5) movably held at the tool body (1), a lock mount (9), a tensioning device for tensioning the band guided in the wraparound clamp (4) and through the lock (10), and a control device for opening the wraparound clamp (4) and tensioning the band, in which the control device is designed in such a way that, before the completion of the tensioning of the band, the wraparound clamp (4) is opened and is retracted through a substantial part of its forward overhang. Furthermore, in the case of an arrangement for fastening an article, in particular a cable harness (12), with the enclosing of a securing lug (7) by means of a flexible band, there is provided a tool which forms a wraparound guide, formed at least partially of clamp parts (5) movably held at the tool body (1), for guiding the band around the article (12), in which the free ends (49) of the clamp parts (5) adjoin the securing lug (7) in their closed condition and the latter forms a part of the wraparound guide.
Abstract:
A magazine strip of tie ratchets (1) which are provided for holding the ends of ties for binding elongated articles such as cable harnesses and are connected to one another by webs (10), the width of which is not greater than half the ratchet width and which are arranged adjacent to the tie entry side (7) of the ratchets (1). The webs have a length of not more than 1.3 mm and/or one sixth of the ratchet dimension in the direction of the magazine strip. The width of the essentially parallel wall sections which carry the webs is expediently not greater than three quarters of the entire width of the ratchets. The thickness/width ratio of the webs should be not greater than ⅕. The invention also relates to a tool for binding cable harnesses which ensures that the webs are cut exactly in the center.
