Abstract: A fluid spraying system includes a fluid applicator having a tip that atomizes a fluid. The fluid spraying system also includes a pump configure to pump the fluid from a fluid source to the tip and a control system. The control system identifies at least one characteristic of the tip or the fluid and communicatively couples to the pump. The control system also controls an operating characteristic of the fluid spraying system based on a characteristic of the tip or the fluid.

Abstract: An example portable fluid spraying system includes a handheld fluid sprayer. The handheld fluid sprayer includes a fluid reservoir configured to store a fluid, a pump configured to pump the fluid from the fluid reservoir to an outlet of the handheld fluid sprayer and a handle. The handheld fluid sprayer includes a first trigger proximate the handle, configured to control fluid flow to the outlet. The portable fluid spraying system includes a fluid hose having a coupling mechanism configured to removably couple to the handheld fluid sprayer proximate the outlet and a fluid spray gun. The fluid spray gun includes a gun inlet configured to couple to the fluid hose and receive the fluid from the handheld fluid sprayer, a gun outlet configured to expel the fluid in a spray pattern and a second trigger configured to control fluid flow to the gun outlet.

Abstract: A fluid applicator configured to deliver fluid at a pressure is provided. The fluid applicator comprises an inlet and an outlet. The fluid applicator also comprises a fluid path extending from the inlet to the outlet. The fluid enters the inlet and exits the outlet at the pressure. The fluid applicator also comprises a trigger configured to, when actuated, facilitate the fluid flow through the fluid path. The fluid applicator also comprises a locking mechanism configured to extend through a body of the fluid applicator, and configured to transition between a locked position and an unlocked position. In an unlocked position, the trigger can actuate and, in a locked position, the trigger is inhibited from actuating.

The trigger locking system comprises trigger locking device configured to extend through the opening. The trigger locking device is configured to move, when actuated, between a defined locked position and a defined unlocked position. While the system is in a locked position, the trigger is nonactuable. While the system is in an unlocked position, the trigger is actuable such that, when actuated, a liquid is released from the liquid applicator.
