    摘要： A coin actuated appliance is provided which includes first and second stacked laundry machines having first and second enclosing cabinets. A housing defines a generally closed vault within an intermediate support member which supports the second laundry machine above the first laundry machine. The coin collecting apparatus includes a box-like structure movable into and out of the vault. Coin diverting apparatus is provided with the coin collecting apparatus for urging coins from the egress of a coin acceptor device toward the end of the box-like structure opposite the coin diverting apparatus.

The physical arrangement of the washing machine/dryer combination provides a compartment below the dryer cabinet and behind the washing machine cabinet. A sliding access door is operable within the recessed area and is manually movable to a posture partially within the compartment and partially within the pocket for providing clear access to within the washing machine.

    摘要： A container is provided for bulk mail, and the like, which has the form of a wheeled rack. The container is constructed to have a lower shelf and an intermediate shelf, both of which are hinged to a frame, and both of which may be turned to an upright position when the container is not in use to enable the container to be nested into other like containers so as to conserve space. Also, the intermediate shelf may be turned up when the container is in use to provide sufficient space within the container for large or bulky packages or mail sacks. The container also has a flexible webbing member attached to the forward edge of a hinged frame which supports the intermediate shelf. The webbing member may be extended upwardly and downwardly from the forward edge of the frame across the open front of the container to enclose the upper and lower portions of the open front so as to retain the load within the container.

    摘要： Systems and methods consistent with the present invention encode a list so users of the list may make inquiries to the coded list without the entire content of the list being revealed to the users. Once each item in the list has been encoded by an encoder, a bit array with high and low values may be used to represent the items in the list. The bit array may be embodied in a validation system for allowing users to query the list to determine whether an inquiry item is on the list. The validation system determines which bits to check by executing the same coding process executed by the encoder. If all the bits are high, then the inquiry item is determined to be part of the list, if at least one bit is low, then the inquiry item is determined not to be part of the original list.

The item includes a human readable address and a machine readable code. The machine readable code identifies at least the sender. The carrier scans the machine readable code to identify the sender and creates an address change record for the sender. The address change record includes the undeliverable address. The carrier then sends the address change record to the sender.
