摘要: A method for aligning a radiation source with a portable image receiver in a radiographic imaging system generates a magnetic field with a predetermined field pattern and with a time-varying vector direction at a predetermined frequency from an emitter apparatus that is coupled to the radiation source, wherein the generated magnetic field further comprises a synchronization signal. Sensed signals from the magnetic field are obtained from a sensing apparatus that is coupled to the image receiver, wherein the sensing apparatus comprises three or more sensor elements, wherein at least two of the sensor elements are arranged at different angles relative to each other and are disposed outside the imaging area of the image receiver. An output signal is indicative of an alignment adjustment according to the amplitude and phase of the obtained sensed signals relative to the synchronization signal.

摘要: An apparatus for obtaining a long-length x-ray image of a subject, has an x-ray source and a first sensor that generates a first signal that indicates termination of x-ray emission from the x-ray source. A digital radiography detector is energizable to generate image data after receiving x-ray emission from the x-ray source. A detector transport apparatus is actuable in accordance with the first signal to translate the digital radiography detector from at least a first detector position to a second detector position for generating image data at each detector position. A processor in communication with the digital radiography detector obtains the image data of the subject that is generated from the detector.

摘要: A method of displaying a digital medical image. The steps include acquiring a digital medical image; determining from the acquired digital medical image the anatomically relevant region which defines the relevant image boundaries; and determining an optimum virtual plate size from a stored plurality of virtual plate sizes for displaying the anatomically relevant regions of the digital medical image on a display device. In one arrangement, the acquired digital medical image has associated exam information (such as bodypart and image projection), the plurality of virtual plate sizes are stored by exam information, and the optimum plate size is determined, at least in part, by the exam information associated with the digital medical image.

摘要: The automatic frequency correction value applied by a receiver is altered to minimize long-term drift of a path delay profile. In one embodiment, the phase or timing error resulting from constant frequency corrections is accumulated, and an estimated frequency correction value is selectively quantized into an actual frequency correction value in response to the accumulated phase/timing error. The quantized value above or below the estimate is selected to minimize the accumulated phase/timing error that gives rise to path delay profile drift. In another embodiment, a timing circuit measures the instantaneous path delay profile drift incurred with each frequency correction, and integrates the instantaneous drift measurements over time to yield a path delay profile drift. The drift (or its rate of change) is then used to adjust a frequency correction value so as to minimize the drift.

摘要: A method for long length imaging with a digital radiography apparatus. Setup instructions are obtained for the image and a set of imaging positions is calculated for an exposure series according to the setup instructions. An operator command is obtained to initiate an imaging sequence. The imaging sequence is executed for each member of the set of imaging positions in the exposure series by automatically repeating the steps of positioning a radiation source and a detector at a location corresponding to the specified member of the set of imaging positions and obtaining an image from the detector at that location and storing the image as a partial image. The long length image is generated by combining two or more partial images.

摘要: Multipath components of transmitted data symbols are received with individual delays and processed by a RAKE unit having a number of fingers. A delay profile is calculated, and delay values for peaks detected therein are determined. A number of peak delay values (P A1 , P A3 , P A4 , P A5 ) representing the largest peaks for the profile are pre-selected, and for each of them a signal-to-interference ratio for delay values in an interval around the pre-selected peak delay value is calculated. In each interval the delay value having the highest signal-to-interference ratio is selected and provided to the RAKE unit with each selected delay being assigned to a RAKE finger. Hereby the ability to select correct and accurate path delays can be improved also in time critical processes, where filtering of the delay profiles over several frames is not possible, because quite accurate delay values can be provided shortly after wake-up of the receiver.

摘要: In third generation mobile communications networks, e.g. CDMA systems, a mobile station intending to access a base station transmits a request for access to a base station and waits for a response in the form of an indicator signal. Both detecting a signal as an acknowledgement message without one being sent from the base station and failing to detect such an acknowledgement message can give rise to noise and interference in the whole cell. The invention provides a method and a user equipment for determining the received signal strength in an access slot in a downlink channel and for asserting whether detection of an indicator signal from the base station in the access slot in the downlink channel is reliable. Hereby, a more secure reception of indicator signals can be obtained, which leads to reduced interference and noise in the whole cell.
