摘要: An active device array substrate including a substrate, a plurality of pixel units, a plurality of driving lines, a plurality of common lines, an electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection circuit, and a plurality of switch elements is provided. The substrate has a display region and a peripheral region adjacent to the display region. The pixel units are arranged as an array in the display region of the substrate. The driving lines are disposed in the display region and the peripheral region and are electrically connected to the pixel units. The common lines are disposed in the display region and are extended into the peripheral region. The ESD protection circuit is disposed in the peripheral region of the substrate. The switch elements are disposed in the peripheral region, wherein each of the switch elements is electrically connected between one of the common lines and the ESD protection circuit.

摘要: A pixel array substrate includes a pixel region and a circuit region adjacent to the pixel region. A plurality of display pixel units are disposed in the pixel region and a plurality of dummy pixel units are disposed in the circuit region. Each of the dummy pixel units includes a data line, a scan line, a plurality of switching elements and a plurality of pixel electrodes. The switching elements are electrically connected to the scan line and data line. The pixel electrodes are electrically connected to the switching elements. Particularly, electrostatic currents in the pixel region can be dissipated by the dummy pixel units in the circuit region. The dummy pixel units preserve the continuity of electricity in the pixel array substrate and function as an inner short ring. Therefore, the area of the circuit region on the pixel array substrate is larger.

摘要: A thin-film transistor (hereinafter referred to as “TFT”) LCD (liquid crystal display) apparatus and its manufacturing method can improve the shortages of improper metal coating protection and incomplete light shielding. Besides, the semi-conductor layer usually uses A-Si layer as a light shielding and a coating materials. Furthermore, the TFT-LCD apparatus and its manufacturing method of the present invention can effectively overcome incomplete light shielding problem of the prior art without using extra numbers of masks for achieving the anti-electrostatic purpose.
