The invention also discloses a server and a terminal for synchronizing messages between multiple terminals. Through the present invention, messages, message states, storage data, and storage structures can be synchronized between multiple terminals.

摘要： A method for acquiring color ring back tone (CRBT) service information of a contact is provided. The method includes the following steps. A request message is sent to an information publishing server of a contact, so as to request to acquire personal information of the contact. The personal information of the contact sent from the information publishing server is received, in which the personal information includes CRBT service information of the contact. Thus, the converged address book (CAB) service can converge CRBT information set by a CAB user, so as to show whether the CAB user has subscribed to the CRBT service and show subscribed CRBTs to contacts subscribing to the personal information of the CAB user, and other users calling the CAB user can select and play CRBTs set by the CAB user.

In the storing process, when a user presets and requires to store the deferred message, the system stores the deferred message to be sent to the user; in the notification process, when a user gets online, an IM server at the client side detects the system has stored the deferred message for the user and if the user has subscribed the deferred message notification, the system sends the deferred message notification to the client according to the setting of the system or of the user; in the retrieving process, when the client receives the deferred message notification and requests to acquire the deferred message, its IM server sends the deferred message content to the client. The present invention improves the method for processing deferred messages in the SIP/SIMPLE IM service system.

摘要： A method and system for using a chat room in an instant message system by an instant message user not belonging to the instant message system is disclosed. The method includes firstly configuring an interworking server which is connected with servers in different instant message systems. Thereafter, if a user terminal is to join in a chat room in an instant message system to which the user terminal does not belongs, a server in an instant message system to which the user terminal belongs relays the message to the interworking server. The interworking server interacts with the server in the instant message system to which the chat room belongs, and after obtaining a response message returned from the server, sends the response message to the user terminal through the server in the instant message system to which the user terminal belongs. After acknowledgement of successful joining, the user terminal uses the chat room through the interworking server and the server in the instant message system to which the chat room belongs.
