Abstract: A software application for recommending workforce resource allocation in a communication center based on requirements of events represented in a communication-center queue has a first interface for accessing information from the queue; a second interface for accessing information from a data source about workforce availability and state information; a processing component for processing queue information and workforce information; and a message generation and delivery component for generating a workforce allocation recommendation based on processing results and sending the recommendation to a target entity. In a preferred embodiment, the application periodically accesses the queue and the data source to obtain the most recent information for processing and generates periodic recommendations based on real-time requirements of events and availability states of resources, the recommendations sent ahead of time before the resources are required.

Abstract: Methods, and devices and systems, for example an answering machine system, are provided for determining a language among a plurality of languages available for a voice to text transcription of phone calls between a caller and a recipient. In the method, at least two of said available languages are proposed to the caller. The proposed languages are based on a phone country code corresponding to said caller, a phone country code corresponding to said recipient, a language from a set of languages available for the transcription by said answering machine system, or a language selected automatically on the basis of parameters set by the caller or the recipient. The caller selects said language by interacting with said answering machine system, and a corresponding voice message is transcribed into text of the selected language for forwarding to said recipient.

Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for delivering group messages is provided. Users that are signed-on to and signed-off from one or more discussion groups are tracked. A voice message is received from one of the users signed-on to one of the discussion groups. A list of users associated with the discussion group is obtained and a sublist of signed-on users including those users from the list that are signed-on to the discussion group is built. The voice message is provided to the signed-on users of the discussion group and a copy of the voice message is stored for later access by the users in the discussion group that are signed-off.

During each call session, an ongoing log of messages including the transcribed speech utterances and the text messages for that call session is generated. Abstract: The present invention comprises a method and apparatus for receiving, modifying and transmitting electronic communications. In one or more embodiments, the invention comprises a method performed by a server computer system that receives communications addressed to e-mail addresses created by the server computer system for recipients from senders having existing e-mail addresses. The server system creates modified e-mail messages by removing the sender's existing e-mail address and inserting an e-mail address created by the server computer system for that sender, wherein the created e-mail address identifies a name of the sender.
