摘要： A disk cartridge housing an optical disk is provided, a rotation wheel is housed rotatably in a cartridge body and which houses the disk and has formed therein a second opening corresponding to a first opening and through which the housed disk is exposed to outside, and a pair of shutter plates which are pivoted in conjunction with the rotation of the rotation wheel to uncover the first and second openings when the latter coincide with each other. The rotation wheel has formed at the front side thereof, at which the disk cartridge is first inserted into a disk recorder and/or player, a to-be-operated portion in which a shutter releasing portion of the disk recorder and/or player is engaged, and the to-be-operated portion is formed from a concavity opening the front side of the disk cartridge at which the latter is first inserted into the disk recorder and/or player.

摘要： A disk cartridge does not require a plate supporter for holding a chucking plate on an upper shell. In this disk cartridge, a chucking plate for chucking a disk on a turntable, driven by a spindle motor, is placed on the middle of the disk so the chucking plate is vertically movable together with the disk. The disk cartridge further includes a peripheral cylindrical rib which is not in contact with the disk and is configured to limit movement of the chucking plate in the direction of its diameter while permitting the vertical movement of the chucking plate. The peripheral cylindrical rib is molded integral with the lower surface of the upper shell.

摘要： The present invention is related to a disc cartridge in which an optical disc, an inner shell and shutter members are housed in a main cartridge body unit, formed by abutting and combining upper and lower shells and in which the inner shell is run in rotation to cause the shutter members to open or close an aperture provided in the main cartridge body unit. The inner shell is formed by a resin molding portion comprised of a first molded portion for forming the inner shell and a second molded portion connected to the first molded portion. The second molded portion is provided at a position forming the aperture in the inner shell and is connected to the first molded portion through a flanged thin-walled section. The inner shell is formed by severing the second molded portion and the flanged thin-walled section.

摘要： A method for producing an inner shell used for a disc cartridge in which an optical disc, an inner shell and shutter members are housed in a main cartridge body unit. The inner shell provided in the main cartridge body unit includes a first molded portion, provided with an aperture, a second molded portion having a resin injection port and molded at a position where the aperture is formed, and a flanged thin-walled section connecting the first and second molded portions to each other. The method includes the steps of injecting molten resin into a cavity defined by a fixed metal die and a movable metal die for molding the first molded portion, the second molded portion, and the flanged thin-walled section, and severing the flanged thin-walled section by a punch provided to the movable metal die before the molten resin injected into the cavity is cooled and solidified.
