摘要： A recording disk cartridge of the present invention is one where a plurality of flexible recording disk media are integrally rotatably housed within a cartridge case comprising: a lower plate for configuring a lower wall parallel to the plurality of the recording disk media; at least one inner plate that is stacked and fixed on the lower plate, and partitions the plurality of the recording disk media; and an upper plate that is stacked and fixed on the inner plate, and configures an upper wall of the cartridge case, wherein any adjacent two of the lower plate, the inner plate, and the upper plate are sealingly abutted and fitted each other at periphery of each of the recording disk media.

The anti slip-out member is used to prevent the magnetic disk from slipping out from the disk-holding protrusions.

The magnetic disk cartridge has a flexible magnetic disk having a disk-like center core. The upper surface of the disk-like center core is centrally affixed to the magnetic disk. The magnetic disk is rotatably retained in a flat housing. The magnetic disk has a surface recording density of at least about 158.7 Mbit/cm2. The disk wobbling value of the magnetic disk measured at a radial position located 5 mm outward from the outer diameter of the center core of the magnetic disk while rotating the magnetic disk by means of a drive device via the center core is not more than 20 nullm.

摘要： A system is for mounting a removable media disk cartridge in a disk drive without translating the cartridge or spindle motor in a Z-axis relative to each other The system comprises a spindle in the drive having a substantially planar top surface with an annular groove disposed and an datum ring disposed thereon. The annular groove accepts an inner ring surface of a media disk hub. The disk cartridge has a hub with an inner ring that engages the annular groove in the spindle. Additionally the hub has an outer peripheral edge that has an angled surface. During disengagement of the hub from the spindle, the hub is tilted when the cartridge shell engages the outer peripheral edge. The datum ring acts as a fulcrum while the inner ring is tilted out of the annular groove.

摘要： A combination of a tape cassette and a tape drive motor wherein a shaft is connected to a tape reel. A tape reel support is mounted to the housing of the cassette and a tape reel shaft extends through the support. Bearings are carried by the support for rotatably supporting the tape reel shaft and thereby the tape reel on the cassette housing. The motor has a rotor rotatable about an axis with the rotor being loosely mounted in the motor when a cassette is not in the tape drive. In one embodiment of the invention, the rotor carries a magnet which in combination with magnetically attractive material carried by the shaft, operates to connect the rotor to the shaft to effect a driving relationship between the rotor and shaft when the cassette is in the tape drive. The bearings on the cassette for the tape reel shaft served as the sole bearings for the rotor for rotational support when the rotor rotates and drives the shaft and thereby the tape reel. In another embodiment of the invention, one axial end of the rotor is connected to the tape reel shaft and the opposite axial end has a pointed end which engages pivot bearings to render stability to the rotor against possible rotor whip when the rotor is rotating. In this embodiment, the rotor is primarily supported for rotation by the bearings on the cassette and is secondarily supported by the pivot bearings on the motor housing.

摘要： A disc cartridge for a disc-shaped recording medium includes a cartridge body having an opening portion for exposing a portion of a surface of the disc-shaped recording medium contained therein and a shutter for covering and uncovering the opening portion. A slider provided for supporting the shutter, is disposed on the cartridge body and is capable of sliding and is resiliently restored by a spring. The slider is engaged slidably with a groove or protrusion formed along a slide of the cartridge body by way of an engagement part. A portion of an engaging structure between the engagement part of the slider and the cartridge body makes a line contact between a protrusion or protrusion of the engagement part of the slider and the groove or protrusion of the cartridge body.
