    摘要: This invention is directed to a power supplier for use, for example, in a portable camera which includes a battery housing for accommodating a set of cylindrical batteries in parallel relationship with each other, and a battery door which is connected to the battery housing by means of a hinge so as to open an opening of the housing and to close the opening so as to axially depress the batteries. The batteries are located in the battery housing at two positions, i.e. one position relatively close to the hinge and the other position relatively remote from the hinge. The power supplier further includes a detector which is mounted on the bottom of the battery housing so as to operate when at least one battery located at the position remote from the hinge is depressed due to the battery closing operation and the batteries are connected to each other in series, and a switch which is mounted on the bottom of the battery housing so as to operate due to the operation of the detector to generate a signal indicating that the batteries have been connected to each other in series.

    摘要: An electronic instrument, such as a camera, which is supplied with electric power from a battery and selectively receives two kinds of batteries which are different from each other in shape and output voltage. A battery chamber of the electronic instrument is constructed to commonly receive the first and second batteries such that a space of the battery chamber is commonly occupied by parts of the first and second batteries. Additionally, a member is projected into the battery chamber and determines which kind of batteries is received. In response to the result of the determination, a voltage converting means converts the output voltage of the battery to a given voltage such that an electionic circuit of the electronic instrument operates with the optimum voltage condition with the voltage supplied from either one of the batteries which are different from each other in shape and output voltage.

    摘要: A motor driven film wind-up and rewind device for cameras is automatically switched from a film wind-up mode to a film rewind mode when the entire length of an unexposed film has been wound on a film take-up spool and surely remains in the film rewind mode thereafter. For the automatic switching of the modes a circuit detects increase in a motor current which occurs with a motor forced to stop after completion of the film wind-up. A movable member which is in the form of an through axle extending through a film rewinding sprocket moves from a first position to a second position immediately after initiation of the motor rotation for the film rewind, switching a switch to a state maintaining the device in the film rewind mode as well as connecting the sprocket with the motor. The movable member is returned to the first position in response to insertion of a film cartridge into a cartridge chamber of the camera and restrained at the first position till the initiation of the film rewind. With no cartridge inserted in the cartridge chamber the movable member is not returned to the first position so that the device remains in the film rewind mode allowing a camera exposure operation.

    摘要: A mode selecting device for use in a camera having at least two modes, namely, a consecutive picture taking mode and a single picture taking mode. In the consecutive picture taking mode, the camera operates to take pictures consecutively so long as the exposure release button is depressed. In the single picture taking mode, the camera operates to take a single picture no matter how long the release button is continuously depressed. The selected mode is displayed on a display. The camera returns to the single picture taking mode when the back lid is opened, when the back lid is closed, when the film is rewound, or when the film undergoes preliminary winding so that the camera is not inadvertently left in the consecutive picture taking mode.
